Something weird and unusual happened

hi guys,

Something weird happend this morning to my car. I park my car on my driveway which is like a bunny hill so when I park my car I have to put it in gear so my car doesnt roll back. Well today I started the car put the gear in neutral and let my car roll back so I can get out but then while the car was moving back, the car bleeped trottle causing the rpm to rise but not too much. Is this normal to happen if you back out too fast while not in gear? i have a 6MT and I don't remeber ever happening like this.

Could have been because the compressor kicked in...The ECM will increase the RPM (while at idle RPM) when the compressor kicks in..

Or you might have touched the pedal and didn't realize it...

I'm 100% sure my feet didnt give it gas because i had it totally off and on the carpet. Is this normal for the ECM to kick in? it was more like a bleep that drove my tech to like almost 1.8 RPM. this never happened before so I'm a little concerned for my tranny.

Yes, but not more than 100-200 rpm or so (when/if the compressor cycles).

as you were rolling down the hill could it be you pressed the brake pedal and the gas at the same time?

Nope, 100% sure neither one of the pedals got pressed.
