Alright guys, I'm kinda stumped. So I have a new iSimple ISHD571 installed in my 06 TL w/Nav. Well it works fine with my old ipod video and is clear. I also tested it with an iphone 3g and Nano and both sounded clear. Now the problem is that when I use a brand new ipod classic 160gb, everything functions but I get all this static/distortion coming from the drivers side speakers. It sounds like they are blown and cracking. Yet I go back to the old ipod or CD and its clear. Well I tested it with an iPhone 4 and same crackling distortion. But both do charge and connect with the gateway.

Any insight here guys?

Check the EQ settings on the new iPod and iPhone 4. I think there are some settings which can cause the output to be too hot for the iSimple and this can cause distortion.

Hey, I checked the EQ settings on the ipods and all of the ipods had an EQ setting of "off" meaning no extra sound processing. Any other ideas?

Anyone know where to order the newer cable that will charge newer iPhones (3GS/4)? The iSimple rep. on here said it's on their website, part number ISDPC11 but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Wow, I haven't been on the board in a while and while digging around for info on ipod video I stumbled upon the OS4 issues. The weird thing is that I'm up to date on my iphone 4 OS and haven't experienced any problems. I was just listening to it today, saw text, and was able to change songs/playlists. What I haven't done is upgrade my firmware since I bought the PXAMG unit 2 years ago. After reading about all these issues I don't think I will! I will just roll with what I got because it works fine. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Mine is acting VERY strange,,,,,

i can look up album and artists and all that jazz from the navi screen but the sound does not come thru. it plays from my ipod touch speakers. So it is obviously interfacing with the ipod but the simple part of playing the sound thru my speakers isnt....

i am completely stumped on mine. I have the iPhone 4, with the OS 4.2.1, the new chip, and the updated firmware... but it won't work. In order to get music from it at all, I need to put it on AUX 2, and I need to plug it in 4-5 times before that even works - it will read "Does not work with this Device" for a few tries (not optimized, just outright "Does Not Work"). If I try putting the mode to iPod on the NAV, it won't work at all. I tried even replaced the phone! Can anyone offer a suggestion??? Thank you!

I'm thinking on getting one and haven't decided what to get iSimple, or PXAMG?

Do you guys think that Pandora will work over iSimple?

Ok, here is the problem, received my iSimple today, I have iPhone 4 with latest firmware that I have upgraded few days ago to 4.3; When I connect phone it charges, displays song title, I can control from radio and etc. but doesn't play anythig all I get is staticks.

Any ideas? I saw some people had same problems in this thread, I wonder how did you guys fixed it?

see my problem is it works and everything perfectly only thing is if i use bluetooth the song continues to play so if i answer a call you can hear my music in the background as if was playing on the otherside of the call only thing is both people hear it like this
