Any hole/gash in many of the lines can cause this. It can get progressively worse until it stalls when not in neutral/under minimal load.
You can do this yourself or have the dealer check it out.
when the engine is running, pop the hood, listen for a hissing sound, try and locate it and move around the hoses. If you find it, fix or replace the hose. There a re many sites with information about this.
On the ford, I had to raise the idle speed after fixing the leak.
Runs like new.
I agree with you but this usually applies on mass air equipped cars. Unfortunately the TL does not use the MAF meter. I wish it did but a vacuum leak will usually cause nothing worse than a high idle unless it's really bad.

thanks for the feedback j35. when i replaced the 3 mounts, i made sure i reattached all the vacuum lines to front and rear mount. the new mounts did lessen the vibration a little bit. but the more i use the car, it seems like the vibration is more or less the same especially when there's additional load like a/c, radiator fan, even playing with the power windows up and down...you'd feel a quick vibration to the steering each time it's pressed. do you guys think the engine control mount solenoid is not working properly?

sorry to revive an old thread, but has anyone else been able to resolve the vibration issues by replacing the coil pack?

I've got an 08 TL with 34K miles that has pretty bad vibration issues. The vibrations are worse when the car is warm and in D at a stop light.

I've visually inspected the mounts and they look fine. I've also taken the car to get checked at the stealership.

They didn't have a clue. They re-adjusted the mounts, but that was it.

If it was a coil pack, the car would probably have thrown a code.

I think your problem is the EGR valve or a sticky/dirty throttle body-- see my response to your post in the other thread.
