Send 'um out^

Most of those guys doing it are southern Nascar gearheads. The only other place I know with any sort of good reputation is Brzezinski in Wisconsin. I'm sure that there IS someone local, but...Ask yourself if it is really worth it.

a machine shop should do it for ya.. but unless you are running bigger cams and plan on tuning your engine a port and polish really isnt worth it..

What's up people, just came here to cry that transmission on my 2nd gen TL is being weird, like all of them have. Is it worth buying one, getting tech to rebuild it, or idk, i dont want to sell it =( . Any comments or ideas, what have you done if you previous owned the TL?
Merry Xmas btw

ive heard others swap out the tranny with a diff one thats better since the 2nd gen is notorious for breaking down.. should search the forums for that year to see what others have done to remedy the issue

Newer J series transmissions do work, not sure which years. I'd ask around the 2nd and 3rd gen TL forums

Does anyone know where I can find the window visors that overlap the pillar in the middle of passenger side and the rear doors, I'm not looking for the simple weather tech visors that stop within the window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been looking everywhere and nothing or at least not wanting to get scammed cause they look all fake

Anyone in the market for a super clean 3G?

http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/4386412424.html

Spread the word if you feel compelled to do so, it would help me out a ton.

Thank you!

I did and I've been keeping my eye out on some ASPEC wheels and suspension, but no one really wants to ship them...

just bought a nice set of Continentals. They're easily better than the Proxes 4 I had on my car before. So quiet, grip the road so much better, too...

That reminds me, has anyone on the NW region forum ever made a list of reputable shop in our area(s)? Best detailers, transmission, auto body, general mechanics?

Hoping others got around to it. Specifically looking to see if I could find a guy who'd be up for the challenge of helping me do a AV6 trans swap in my CL...

However I could recommend a couple places. A tint shop, a mechanic (dunno if I'd trust them for my trans....yet) and maybe a tire dealer.

yes they rebuild trannys and all that stuff.. if the tranny swap you are wanting to do is bolt on friendly with no extra modification i am sure they can do it no problem..

Well it's mostly just bolt-on (or drill and tap new holes) plus swap components from old trans to replacement.

The hardest part is finding a good junkyard trans for a decent price. for some reason some that have over 90k miles on them still go for over a thousand dollars

Meh, ebay is kinda so-so. I may just go on car-part and try to haggle with one of the dealers.

btw I was considering pick n pull... until I saw their reviews on google I don't think I've ever seen a business on google and yelp get such bad reviews.
