Looking into buying a used 3.2CL Type S 2001-2003

Looking for some opinions on buying one of these at this state of their life. I have always liked these but have never owned one. After 6 years I'm sick of my current car so I'm thinking now might be the time.

There's no better time than the present. I just bought one two weeks ago and love it.

Just make sure you 100% understand the transmission issues with the autobox. Going with the 6 speed is highly recommended if possible. If you do get an auto, when the transmission goes out swap in an Odyssey tranny.

Spend the money and travel time to get one from a place where they don't salt the roads.

I do like a manual tranny in general but own the 5AT, but these days I sleep much better knowing a newer Accord tranny will bolt right in.

One thing to watch out for, if an HID headlight is out it might be the ballast, so try to negotiate another 100-200$ off the price to buy a replacement ballast or kit, it's a bit of a pain to fix but a lot of people seem to do it.

Auto but has 86,975 which is pretty low for a 03.

I have a 2003 CL Type S and love it. The 6 speed is by far the smoothest transmission I have ever driven. The car is a blast to drive. I'm looking to move into a TLX for 4 doors etc. Family obligations are calling, so my Type S will be on the market. Let me know if you have any interest. Great car and you should consider getting in one, manual only though!

I also have a 6 speed and love it, it shifts so easy and smooth. I also agree to try and find one from a more southern state not on the coasts (sea salt is bad too). You will love the car, I have had my 8 years now, still love it and get many complements....

I purchased mine used with 118k on the odometer. It had the transmission swapped at 50k after the recall by Acura. Been running great ever since, tranny shifts smooth. If you find an auto just make sure it has had it's transmission replaced.
