Yea, Paul said the only way he can make any more is to get at least 10 confirmed buyers (as in, already paid), so he can build one set, send it to a local shop to have 3D scanned so he can have all the pipes bent to the exact curvatures needed, and then so he can put them together.

In other words, hes not building another set

to me this seems easier than its being done ... we alread have exisiting models that work ... scan an SS autochrome ...next super impose the RV6 long tube j pipe ... next fabricate mid length equal lenth primaries to meet the RV6 ... cut flanges off the Jpipe and weld on V bands ...

or just make the piping in solidworks... if someone can make a drawing with all measurements I can draft it up real quick.

I want to get this done by August. He hasn't heard back from any members I sent info.

He's coming back to my area next week. I'm arranging him to take my car down and get this thing done.

Was wanting Paul to make me a set of his headers down the road. But like you stated, he probably won't make another set and doesn't have time to do that kind of fabrication on the side.
Yeah...I already tried.

Spoke to him this morning. He did get in contact with you both.

He was attending events and prepping the cars for competition at Hyperfest this year. He also opened a new facility last week.

Once he is situated with everything, he wants to focus and pay full attention to this build. I understand why he did not want to waste the time right away.

I'll follow up with him this afternoon.

Any update? Need to buy 6 speed headers by the end of summer. I'd rather get these than the last CT batch, but I don't wait only to find out these didn't work out.

Not starting on the build until after Hyperfest event this weekend.

He's going to be contacting Reese when he gets back. Honestly, I don't want to promise a deadline. If you feel this is going nowhere, you can jump on the CTE batch. Last thing I want to do is disappoint people.

IIRC CT is no longer making the CL headers. A member here picked up the last set about a month or two ago.

Excelerate is getting one last batch of 30 made. Although I think it will be tough unless there is enough 6spd people that need it because there are more options for the auto people

No price discussed. I am not a vendor yet.

We are in the process of building the prototype. Once that is completed I can figure in costs for materials, fabbing, dyno sessions, etc.

I'm not going to jip anyone though.

For you simpletons, CT headers are back on the market. Just FYI.

Not trying to be a prick or anything but I don't expect anyone to wait out for this build.

He got back to Palm harbor at 5AM yesterday...straight drive from Sterling, VA to FL. Crazy man. Talked to him this morning.

We are ordering materials once he gets the measurements today.

While driving my car back home, he noticed I was having trouble hooking up even with the ETD's and 85a motor mounts. He had an idea about making traction bars. Haven't really looked into it myself but I figure someone here should know what kind of game plan we need to tackle that. That will be in another discussion on another day.

We're moving along...

Please please please please please for the love of god make us traction bars

There were two options I was thinking of (and I've run one of them past Paul a long time ago, forget what he said).

1 - Build an all new front cross member to replace the OEM unit, but it needs to have provisions for the front mount. Then threaded radius rods back to the LCAs.

2 - Find a very very very strong spherical bearing that can withstand side to side movement to mount in the stock cross member, then pass an adjustable radius rod through.

Personally, I like #1 much more. The bearing for #2 would be way too expensive to get one that can withstand the forces of launching the car, and its in a high wear spot.

Ive also thought about modding the stock cross member, but I dont like the idea of welding to it. I'd rather build an all new piece that is lighter and stronger.

Yea I have been saying how we need traction bars. There was only 1 member I know of that ever had traction bars made. He used to be a member on here a long time ago. Screen name was John something. He had a shop I used to go to make them for him. Don't think he is on here anymore and the shop went out of business years ago. Wish I had more info but I don't.

Yea I had a set of FullRace bars on my EF and it made a huge difference. Thats a similar design I was thinking for the CL, but the CL/TL cross member is a bit more complicated.

Im not sure what purpose those arms serve though, or if they could just be straight steel bars.

Will these be hooking up to the cat or removing the cat, similar to the RV6 V3 J-pipe? I was just about to get my flex pipe rewelded, and replace the y-pipe on my car, but now i may have to hold off and see how these turn out.

It will hook up to the cat, I'm pretty sure. Don't see why it would remove it?

Thats actually a good question. My headers moved the cat further back a bit. Obviously that would mean modifying your current mid-pipe.
