Random ignition issue
I've been having this issue for a little over a year, where my car doesn't like to start when it's hot in the cabin. And by hot it's usually when it's 80+ outside and the car has been sitting there all day with the windows up. I usually get into it around 5:30PM after work and in my parking lot it sits in the direct sun all day. The green key does not light up when the key is inserted and turned (in both positions), nor do I hear the fuel pump kick on. The car is locked all day via factory remote. I also noticed it's really difficult to lock the steering wheel when I come across this issue. In order to get it to start, I usually roll down all the windows (and/or leave my driver door open) and after about 15-20 minutes the car starts. Here's a list of things I've tried to expedite the start:
1. Re-lock with remote and after 30 seconds unlock (three presses).
2. Pulled clock fuse
3. Tried different keys (my spare and my valet)
Any opinions/suggestions would be helpful..

so there is no power at all when you first put the key in? I would have said check the fuel relay, but it sounds more electrical. If the car doesn't know the key is in it won't start the fuel pump etc.

I'll bet it is a relay. I had the same problem with my 1990 Accord in 1995. The interior was hot, nothing, it cooled down and everything was normal. I don't recall which relay it was other than it was located under the dash on the driver side. I replaced it and had no more trouble.

Just wanted to update, I did end up replacing the main relay and no issues with starting the past two weeks. It's been really hot outside so hopefully no more issues
