Question Navi to Non-Navi conversion. Help please.

I am converting to a Non-Navi setup and have a quick question on where I would find a harness that connects the clock.

Everything plugs right up and the switch over is easy but I really like the clock feature and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to wire it up. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I really try to search and search before starting a new thread, so I apologize if this has been covered.

You just take the smaller clock plug behind the screen and it plugs directly into the non-navi clock.

I didn't think there was a clock harness that plugged into the navi unit... I was under the impression that the clock on the navi screen comes from the software in the unit that is located in the trunk.

Or are you saying that there is just a harness that is tucked back in the dash not currently being utilized?

Now your making me think. I just know that I didn't have to modify that harness when going from non-navi to navi. I just have to see if its just dangling back there or if I was right the first time.

A $100 Garmin will have far better routing, maps, graphics and more than the junky old 2005 navi you're looking to install. Just go that route. Hell, you can buy a high-end stereo with navi for less that will be even better. Or look at something like the AppRadio 3 that I have which allows me to use Waze or any other iPhone app on the 7" touchscreen.
