Not to butt in to your convo but I'm glad to hear that as well as everyone else is I'm sure

Am I the only one that is pricing winter tires already? I'm seriously looking into buying a CR-V or something to drive in the winter lol...if a mound of snow rips off my front lip all hell will break loose

Looking for winter tires now but they are not cheap when you are poor lol. My coils are adjustable but I need to check them out this weekend when I change my oil to make sure they aren't seized or anything.

Also, who is our resident electrical guru here? I may need to make a slight request for assistance in the near future...looking at how to get my fogs to run independent of headlights, I am just scared to touch wires because I've had an electrical nightmare before...no bueno.

so winter tires are out of budget but a CRV is IN budget?

pass me the :bong:

yeah when I installed my coils, I sprayed the Dupont coating on them...when I recently adjusted them, they were not seized at all...

and I can help with the electrical as in installing something and wiring it....but i really cant help decode a relay....

I know on the TL side there is a DIY, link below, hopefully it helps...

Lol I just hate spending money . I am torn between the DWS or a pure winter tire like a Blizzak or something of the sort. Also when I move out I plan to buy a second vehicle to DD/Snow so I thought a CRV or something similar would be optimal since AWD and decent sized interior. And Honda maintenance. I know Matt had a Vic that ran pretty well...just exploring options right now. Yay for growing up lol.

And as far as wiring diagrams, I have found one here:

http://www.pl-us.com/Acura/USDM_FogL_conver_-_wo-HL.pdf

And an addendum to that chart:

http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/268189-post53.html

Is this the type of explanation that would help you Anil?

I really dont get a second car concept unless you are driving something like a GTR/Vette as your primary car....

our cars handle very well in the winter...instead of spending a lot of monies on the CRV, I recommend a second set of wheels with some winter tires on (like the Blizzak) and calling it a day....or if you still have your stock wheels, throw some winter tires on it...that way you will be spending around $1000 and not paying for an extra insurance bill and maintenance items...2 cars = 2x maintenance

I cant see the image from the tsxclub...can you post that here?

True it is and it is something Im just considering but would be nice to have something that I could DD in adverse weather conditions (Id rather the TSX not be subject to them lol but it can handle it you're right.) I do still have OEMs, so whatever tires I buy will be going on them.

Also, here is diagram from TSXclub:

Edit: Link that worked 2 hours ago is down...orz. Will dig for it and post it here instead of linking again.

Starts at post #133 with directions then pictures. Seems like there would be an easier way to get to the parking lights than he pictured but is irrelephant. Does this seem too involved for you Anil? If so, I can live without it but think itd be a nice little mod. Also, I will supply pizza beer and hookers as usual.

TL noob

Hey guys, Im an Acura, import, and TL noobie Been browsing around AZ for a couple months now and stumbled on this gem of a thread. Nice to see a couple years of consistant KC peoples here (once I started driving the TL I realized how many of the damn things are on the road out here). Anyhow, just thought I'd post up and get myself out there.

Did anyone try Fast Friday's yesterday? With the rain, I can't imagine they had a good turnout. Heck, I think even Chad was out of town on some Ferrari run.

Haha I wanted to make myself get WDP actually but couldn't go through with it. The NBP was in wayy better shape and I think I'm just a NBP kinda guy (clearly this being my fourth NBP TL). I've already wrapped the trim above the license plate and the silver pieces by the fogs. Started my stereo install as well. Movin' right along. Pics comin' soon.
