just keep the underhood temps down by venting it somehow cause those suckers get hot under the hood, like you can't even hold your hand on the air filter housing for more then like 5 seconds if you pop the hood like 5 minutes after it has been driven (but you already got an aftermarket filter though, just try other plastic pieces though)

well they make a heat shield box for the intake that ill pick up eventually... id like to get a FMIC to get rid of my heatsoaking issues...

and rajca you will no doubt be spanking me (no homo) if you got the snail in at that time... esp since im trying to keep my OEM clutch for as long as possible, so i will def. not be launching it lol

if you were just spraying i think it would be a great race...

or get a new intake and try pull it from ouside the engine bay instead like take out that passenger side fog, and get some ram air from there

well thats the thing, the only aftermarket intake that doesnt mess with the MAF readings is the cobb (which i have) no other company offers a legit cold air for us turbo legacys... the N/A guys got them tho

lol yea the wheels were so win but it wasnt a 6mt swap lmao... i drove the 08 when i was looking at the LGT... huge ride comfort improvement from the 04-06 sti's

but if you are getting it tuned you should be able to compensate for it quite easy

true... but they cause mad turbulence around the MAF sensor.... poor design
and yea rajca its a lil roller skate lol not so good on the top end, but my low-mid range torque curve is sooo baller... when/if my stock turbo takes a shit ill put in the vf46 i believe (04-06 sti turbo)

with the reflash, downpipe, and uppipe alone ill be roughly 297awhp and 320awtq

lol i was like how did i reply before he got his post in?? lol but yea those damn banjo bolt filters are so retarded... you would think after all the TSB's subaru is getting for blown OEM turbos due to oil starvation from that filter they would stop using them.. but nope the 2010 has it too lmao... i guess they like replacing turbos under warranty??? lol

but they figure it does more good then bad cause it keeps large particales from getting to the turbo (instead it starves), and if you can clean them on a regular basis they would do more good then bad

also there are not alot of turbos compared to N/A subarus especially legecy's, even wrx's aren't like dime a dozen for the impreza's
so there not really replaceing alot of turbos compared to the number of subarus sold but it is a high % of the turbos though

just remember that it's all the people that have had to have the turbo replaced bitching and moaning, where you never hear from the people with the turbo's that are perfectly fine
also it's the people complaining about it cause it's a expensive part (when they had to pay), but they are also too cheap to pay for a regular oil change.

Serves them right though

like i have rebuilt an odyssey motor at 120K cause it ran out of oil, and the oil change sticker on the windshield was 20K OVERDUE, the owner is alot better about oil changes now though (even if it is grease monkey, jiffy lube, or quick lube) after getting like 7,000 bill to repair it right

also i worked on it a couple of weeks ago and the maintence light had burned out or something by 160k if that gives you an idea of how long that light was on (doen't even come on when you first turn on the ignition like it should with the bulb check)

and only reason they came in is cause it started making some really strange noises (two bores were scoured severly)(even though the oil light works just fine) and knew the engine had some serious issues
