factory radio help

factory radio help

Can anyone tell me details on how to remove the factory radio? and what tools i'll need ?

Baisically just a phillips head and a lot of time. The entire center console needs to come out. You don't HAVE to remove front seats but it does give you more room to work around.

What are your plans? If your serious about it I can dig up some info about the process. Here's a couple of pics:

i just envy everyone int he states that have a stock navi screen

Not for one second do I regret having it. Today, for example, the wife and I were out furniture shopping and started to run out of places to go. I plugged in furniture retail and we were off and running to at least another 1/2 dozen places within 10 miles that we never knew about.

my plan is to install a in dash dvd player / monitor would i need to take out so much like in ur pics?

Like I said, you Don't have to remove the seats but at least removing the pax seat will give you some room to work around. The pax seat is quite a bit lighter than the drivers seat.
