Hey Stokeless, don't waste money on the header if you are going turbo. But then again, if your turbo and ECU are not going to be available for awhile, then get all the power you can now. Haha.. your 184.6 hp title won't last long. You have no idea what I'm cooking!

Btw, I've already topped you on the torque!

I installed my header today and I had a hell of a time gettting all the components out. The bottom right manifold bolt was a bitch as were the three nuts on the catalytic converter. It took some time with the breaker bar and they finally came loose. The manifold support bracket bolt was also very hard to break.

Install took about a half hour.

5pt sockets are a must for these bolts.

As Jtso has said the breaker bar is a must for this job. Also the higher you can get the car off the ground the better.

I will drive the car tomorrow and see how it preforms!

Hope you guys don't have the same issue but let me be the first to say my DC header sucks.
the flex pipe has pulled away from the pipe, after being on the car only a week. PM me your email address for pics or if someone wants to host them I'll mail them to that person.

I called DC about this and they said pull the header and send it to us. I told them hell no, send me a new lower pipe and i'll send you mine when swapped. They expected me to pull the entire header back off to send back to "look at it" then they will decide if they will send me one. I sent them pics instead. From the pics it's very easy to see the separation. Will keep you posted.

Thanks much for hosting the pics for us. As you can see it's pulled way out. In my opinion they didn't design enough length on the flex pipe. When installing, the rear section had to be pulled forward to get the bolts in causing more stress on the joint i'm sure. Sucks

I took more pics from the other side last night when I got home from work and could jack the car up. The thing came completely out of the fitting. My car is so loud now.
Funny part is no check engine light yet. I thought for sure it would come on. So far no word back from DC sports on the problem. Anthony has been trying to reach them as well for me.

Kinda amazing how a big company like DC just doesn't try to resolve the problem, or avoids contacts..... Makes me want to run out and buy their products....:thumbsdn:

Actually I haven't been reving it past 3K since it is in close proximity to my O2 sensor wires etc. Not to mention my car sounds like a damn stock car now
Still no call back from DC Sports either.

i can't believe that on top of their header falling apart they are also not returning your phone calls. that's seriously unprofessional. comptech headers are sounding pretty good now. even if the gains suck!

Yea, when i called he was all pissy with me like I broke it and even said "you probabily scraped it and that pulled it out" I told him there is NO damage to the header besides the cheap weld job on it. He said to email the pics and he would get back to me that day since I told him my car is down and undriveable and I don't wan tto have to pull the whole damn thing back off. I'm now on day 3 with no return calls and no returned emails. Now I see why AEM bought them out. Wonderful service.

It looks like I'll have to just reinstall the stock header this weekend so I can at least use my car again

Like Anthony said, we should hold off on getting them and see if this is going to become a biger problem for the TSX header. Anthony has been a great help in trying to help me get this solved. I'd recommend getting other stuff from him and we'll see where this goes with DC Sports

I was just thinking. If it happens to me, I'd probably cut the flex section off, and replace it with a custom bent section with the proper length instead of risking the problem again even DC replaces the header.

It's probably cheaper than the shipping cost to ship the defective one back.

My brother is going to take a look at mine this weekend and see if he can just reweld the joint on the inside, that way I don't have to deal with DC Sports or remove the whole header. I'll let you guys know if I go that route
