Ok, since my site is back up, here is the dyno plot for my car. Again, it was dyno'ed at Church Automotive Testing (same place Hondata did theirs). And since I forgot to get a print out from him, but I got the raw data. I plotted them in Excel.

Here's my Dyno. I will post another one later today. I am getting an Injen CAI installed now. Will do two more dyno pulls once installed.

Hondata reflash dyno

This is a pre and post Hondata reflash dyno. The only component change was the Hondata reflash.

K&N CAI
TB bypass
Hondata gasket
Hondata reflash
DC header
Stock exhaust
5700 miles

Here's pre-reflash vs. post-reflash. I also added the hondata gasket and coolant bypass between dynos, so take that into consideration.

Numbers still seem really weak to me, might have to hop on the DC Header bus.

Kangjin: your before dyno is just an injen right? Regardless of your peak numbers look at all that extra torque you gained below 3k rpms! Gains like that is what make me consider this mod for my auto.

kangjin, I notice your dyno curves seem to show a little hesitation. You might want to check the condition of the spark plugs, as they might provide clues to the mysterious lower number. While you have the plugs out, a compression test won't hurt either.

JTso, your dyno was really with only Hondata, nothing else, no TB bypass, Hondata gasket, not even CAI?

were all of your runs the same? did you rule out heat soak as a factor if the first run was the same as the last?

The dyno comparison includes the following mods. The only difference is one with Hondata reflash and one without.

K&N CAI
TB bypass
Hondata gasket
Hondata reflash
DC header

JTso thanks for providing that great comparison. It's quite a bit of work to dyno your car at every mod. I missed my baseline run with no mods Could you tell us how many miles are on your car?

I was happy to see your numbers. Makes me think perhaps I got a little bit of a freak on my hands. Our peak is right around the same, except you have a header, gasket and tb bypass goin on. Makes me wonder what I'll peak at with a header.

My car @ 2k miles (injen cai + comptech exhaust + hondata) = peak 180.79 hp / 158.06 tq

versus your peak of 181.4 / 157.69

Just a comparison thats all not trying to prove anything... hehehe.

My car has about 5700 miles. do you have the actual dyno files? If you do, send them my way and I can plot them together using dynojet viewer for comparison.

I am looking at Kangjin's dyno... I bet he ran that in 3rd gear. The numbers are a little more erratic than a 4th gear pull. My bet is that it was done in 3rd gear.

That would also explain the slightly lower numbers than par.

both runs posted were the same, ~171.2 max hp. the first run (like last time) my tires slipped around 5k and screwed up the graph.

they were run in 4th gear every time.

the before dyno is with an injen cai and fujitsubo catback. after is +reflash +hondata gasket +coolant bypass.

i'm thinking about the dc header, and maybe dynoing the current setup -fujitsubo +stock exhaust just for kicks, but the dyno fees are adding up.

Exactly why I think dyno'ing on a Dynapack is better. You can really eliminate these kind of things, and get a more consistent dyno. Just my humble opinion.

tekn0mage and JTso post hondata dyno comparison

Here is a comparison of tekn0mage and my dyno results. Note the A/F and how it affects the gain when it becomes rich for both dyno results. The blue is tekn0mage and the red is JTso. I have to say this is a very close comparison.

Don't forget that dynapak dynos read a little high but the gain over the baseline numbers is quite impressive. +22 hp and +21 lb ft at around 6000 rpm.

Yup, One of the Ricer mags dynoed a stock TSX on a Dynapack at 180WHP when it first came out. His car is putting down some nice power though.

JTSO -- he just has the injen and you have dc headers and injen correct? Interesting that they are so close while he doe snot have headers. I'm wondering if a different set of headers(comptech for example) would change the results.

TinkySD, he has Injen intake and Comptech exhaust, and I have K&N intake, DC header with stock exhaust and Hondata gasket.
