well, i fried my jl... doh! looking for suggestions

I had/have a single jl 10w3v2 in the trunk and was powering it with a hifonics amp that put out about 1000w rms at 1 ohm, well I got too greedy and was pushing the jl with about 5-600 watts for about a year now.... signal from the stock deck with too much power = bad idea

finally went dead on me, I had pushed two jl 12 w3's with about 3-400 watts rms each for about 3 years before I sold them, never had any problems, but I guess the v2 wasn't that much stronger/ I pushed it too hard (clipped it a few times over the past year)

oh well, looking for another 10 now to hammer on preferrably with a little more power handling, and while I have always been a jl fan, I don't feel like taking another $150 hit for the same speaker to blow, so I am looking for something in that price range or lower to beat on for a couple of years in the back of the ac... thanks for the help

Well since the speaker was only designed to take 250 to 300 watts RMS, I say the speaker lasting one year was pretty damn good. Look into the W6v2 with 600 watts that should be good. Or the solobaric, try to get a 2002 to 2003 L7. I heard the new ones blow easily.
