I'd still much rather have an M3.

So they have the power, but it still weights a shade under 2 TONS.

too bloated, too tame, not as ferrocious as an M3. Audi wasn't aiming for the M3 in any category other than Horsepower, so why all the hoopla?

Nice... I can't believe they're whining about the back seats.

That review is garbage, I can't believe they published that crap.....I'll wait until something of value comes out.

The S4 doesn't really compete with the M3 besides price....

One has an 8, the other a 6
One has AWD, the other is RWD
One has 4 doors, one has 2 doors

2 different cars with 2 different missions.

S60R with a few minor visual mods will be utter sex. And with a few engine mods, utterly fast sex.

It weighs the same as the A4. Which weighs the same as the CL-S and TL-S. So I wouldn't call that heavy.

I wouldn't say that just yet.... Off the line will be very questionable, but on the highway or maybe a roll I think the S4 can probably hang with or out muscle a M3 on the highway. v8 with more horsepower and about 40 more pounds of torque. Not taking anything away from the m3 (my next car) but the s4 would be a nice family 4door. They really screwed up by not adding the bi-turbo to the v8. I know the RS4 will be a beast but they should have used the same engine and detuned it alittle for the s4. Oh well. :o

I would call the CL-S and TL-S heavy. It's sporty and fun to drive but it's not nearly as nimble as it could be. The S4 might have the same problem...that's just a lot of weight for a Sports Sedan to be tossing around.

Well then, if I need a 4 door, my next is the S4...if I can live with 2, then its the M3...I will just keep dreaming...anyone got an extra 40k lying around...that plus my TL trade!!...and quattro will do just fine in the snow here...I don't really want to drive an RWD unless I have to, I can do it if its just slushy or whatever (hell its more fun that way) but no way I am gonna do it in the deep stuff, when it all starts to stick.
