Has anyone used Amuse kits or Mugen coilovers?

I thought after reading here for 6 months that I had found all of our mod options for the 2G RL. However, a simple search for "2005 RL body kit" yielded Bullet Proof Automotive.

http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...lt.php?make=27

I am only on my phone and wasn't able to see everything going on there. Has anyone used these guys? Did anyone know if an Amuse lip kit is availble in the U.S.? What about Amuse and Mugen coilovers?

Can really say much about Bulletproof but I can tell you for sure their website prices is not updated. In regards to Mugen, I think they don't have coilovers, just a standard suspension kit, reason I say that is because when I was in the market for coilovers they only have this..http://www.kingmotorsports.com/p-151...nsion-kit.aspx

How are those different than coilovers? A coilover is a spring placed over a strut during production that is replaced as a unit. That's what those look like.

No sir...coilovers are height adjustable and Mugen are not. They look the same on the photo. I can't remember if the mugen are set to 1.2 front and rear 1.4. I could be wrong the on the measurement.

Please find me a definition that says a coilover must be height adjustable because I can't seem to find one. All definitions the I found say that some or most are height adjustable, but none state that it is a requirement. If all coilovers are adjustable, then why would some explicitly state "adjustable" while others don't?

007 is right the term "coil over" simply means the coils sit on a perch attached to the strut... it does not always mean height adjustment.

"adjustable coil overs" means that strut is threaded or has a threaded collar to move the perch.

Just to let you know, the front bumper lip sticks out much more than the Mugen front bumper lip. So it was a pain to drive in that set up on my coilover. It's nice and clean but again if you do get it, just be careful when you drive. It's more expensive than the Mugen Set Up.

Oh ya, if you do get it from Bulletproof they require you to leave a deposit regardless if you just asking for a quote or pre order.

Mugen coilover, if I'm not mistaken is made by Showa Japan. Showa is OEM parts for Honda. For the money, Tein CST is the best set up since it is compatible with the EDFC for the stiffness and the softness of the ride. I know Bilstein have a coilover set up but to adjust the ride you need to do it manually.

Thank you for the great information.

Sweet freaking ride too. I don't think I have seen those pics of your car. Are you located in the states?

Thank you for the clarification. I guess I was wrong on the true meaning on " coilovers "

I can't either. I assume since he asked for the Bilstein setup and you directed him to the Amuse coilovers, Bilstein = Amuse or vice versa?

You can't go wrong on Bilstein. I've them on my BMW and the ride is smooth. The downside you have to change the dampering manually. Also as KB1spec says Teins with the EDFC will be better that's why I went with Teins. Haven't install them yet.

Amuse and Bilstein colaborate with each other. Amuse don't make coilover so they ask company like Koni or Bilstein to have them branded for them: hence Amuse/Bilstein. Just like Brabus/Bilstein. Brabus dont make shocks in there factory so they ask Bilstein if they can team up to make a series of suspension which is Brabus Spec.
