trip to Seattle washington - filled up with costco gas - top-tier gas???
This is funny, I was in Seattle this weekend with family and friends, shopping and stuff. Pumped gas at Costco and right on the kiosk, was a sign that said the Costco gas has "5 times the national regulated requirements, and claim to have "Kirkland's special detergent additive package". Interesting, I always thought Costco simply buys gas from which ever major manufacturer has surplus gas to sell to them at a discounted price due to their bulk buying.
Actually, to be honest, I have used two tanks of Costco gas, and it feels like the same with other gas like Shell or Chevron.

I always use Sam's Club gas in my TSX and RDX. I always get good to excellent gas mileage and the savings in gas alone pays for the yearly membership. I even look for Sam's club when out of town whenever I can.
There has been times when I went with what was available when traveling and the TSX/RDX lets me know it didn't like the gas immediately (crappy gas mileage, few extra turns to start, slight loss of power on butt dyno). It is hard to get 91 octane once you leave the big city in NM (mostly 90 octane in the smaller towns ).
I give Sam's and Costco a after 5 years of use.
