Mine has the mismatch. The first time my mechanic friend looked at it he asked if I had a CarFax on it because he figured it was wrecked and not color-matched correctly.
I called the dealer and I'm going to try getting them to take care of it since they didn't disclose a slight rear collision.
Long shot but they owe me a few other things so I might as well ask about it.

Yep. It bugs me more the longer I own the car, but I'm not going to pay "X" amount of dollars to fix it. It adds character to the car. (haha) What makes me feel better is that the vast majority of the white 3G TLs have the same problem.

^^^ I agree because i hated the fact that i had to repaint the bumper and blend the qtrs..but then i saw so many cars that the bumpers dont match at all

This happens because the car is painted at the factory over the metal body. The bumper covers are plastic and I don't know if they are painted at the factory or at the supplier's plant. The metal car has a primer coating of some color, the bumper covers start out before being painted a different color. In bright light there is not enough paint on either to hide the underlying color, in other words it is showing thru. Certainly there is a cost involved in matching all panels up perfectly.
