Getting 17'' or 18'' rims, but not dropping, best size tires?

ok guys, I'm going up on the rim size to 17x7 or 18x7.5 inch- not quite finalize. I thought about it, and I'm NOT lowering my car. I don't want to downgrade ride quality, and go through the trouble in lowering it. I did my research and found these size tires:

17inch - 215/45 or 225/45

18inch - 215/40 or 225/45

Remember I'm not lowering my car so not worrying about rub issues.

If you are not going to lower your car no need to get 17's it will look ugly. Get 18's and you still wont rub. I just ordered 18x8 215/40/18

check out my WWW for picts of my 18's w/o the car lowered. Hell, if your looking for rims and dont really want anything fancy, im probably going to sell mine soon. Mine are a little banged up but not bad. I got them all re-powdercoated a custom silver and smoothed out the edges. If your looking for some 18's and you dont want anything real fancy or new because your afarid you might curb check or something (being your first rims and all) im probably going to be selling mine if someone wants them. (Im getting new 18"s black w/ chrome lip and lowering the car.)

ok...let's just say i'm going 18s...rims are 18x7.5...most likely would be these:

Which is the best size tires 225/40/18 or 215/40/18?

If 17s, best size would be 215/45/17 everybody ?

And anywhere down the road if I ever decide to lower the car, Eibach's 1.75 fr / 1.5 r would be the choice, would it be neccesary to get a camber kit?

Nice rims..I love RJ's....Keep inmind though, yours will NOT look like that, even with theose rims. That Accord has probably a 2-2.5" drop in it.
If your going with 18's, I'd get 225/40/18 Thats what I have. (or 45 depending on the roads in your area) Usaully I see 17" rims with the 215/40-45/17

Heres what 18's will look like with stock height. (since my pictures arnt showing, heres the links)

As far as a camber kit goes, some say yes, some say no. If you wanted to do it right, if your going to lower the car, get a camber kit. Its more of a better safe than sorry for a small drop like 1.5" (Eibachs Prokit) Now, what you dont want to happen is say screw the camber kit, slap on theose new 18's with rubber and then next time you go in for a rotation, they tell you the tires are shit because the cambers been off and you need all new tires... = big waste of tires/money....I'd get a kit if i were you. Im going to with my 2" drop...hell, I'll HAVE to with a 2" drop..

For that drop, I'm thinkin' you might need camber kits in the front.

And please don't get the servos if you're not going to lower. It's just not fair to Ronjon

honestly, Ive had my rims for a year now with the stock height...it looks better than the OEM wheels, but still like a major 4X4 with no drop. If you decide to get rims, you might as well lower it. More than likely, you will end up lowering it at somepoint. Mine regretfully took me a year, but im getting it done soon. And even if your only going for a mild 1.5" ProKit drop, you could find a Prokit set for cheap, plus, depending on your shocks/struts, you might be able to get by with the OEM ones with only a 1.5" prokit drop. Anything lower, like me, and you'll spend alot more upgrading the shocks and camberkit and all...

lowering WILL improve ur handling as well. It is safer for the road. I can't stand seeing cars at stock height body roll around turns... esp when a car goes outta control on the freeway... dipping side to side due to the body roll. It is scary. suspension is a safety factor i think.

Acura3.0CL....i think your car looks pretty cool at stock height...i mean newer Acura's comes with 17-18 OEM wheels and they're not even lower, they look pretty decent...that's the thing, i don't plan on making this ride as expensive as fixing up a house.

The reason i chose RonJon because their wheels are epecially made for acura/honda and they quite resemble those OEM wheels. Servo's are similiar to stock RSX, but much sharper. I'm going to go with the 18 with 225/40/18.........225/45 are hella expensive

I'm going to ride in 18s for awhile until I get totally bored and have the urge to add money to the car again. Of course the next mod would be lowering it with a camber kit.

I have a white 98 3.0 so this pictures tells it all. Too bad it's in chrome But in silver will definately look nice

Does anybody know of any wheel shop site that sells for less than MSRP of $250?

When your looking for tires, check these out. I just got them and love em. I got a deal and got them new for $100 each installed.

Sumitomo HTR+
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....reModel=HTR%2B

BTW: Never, ever ever ever ever get Conti's...THEY SUCK...and have defults. I owned some Contiextremecontacts and within a 1 yr period i went through 10 tires, 8 tires had defults and I have to keep swappin them out. I finally said screw it, they prorated them and got me the HTR's for $100 each. The Sumo's seem to have a softer compound and I can hug corners waayy better than the conti's
