dragging this back from the dead. Has anyone else in the past 10 months switched from their anemic stretched tires to a 255+ setup?

I'm looking at those 18x9.5 +22 Varrstoens for sale and thinking about putting 255/35's on them, fenders rolled and pulled.
Any feedback from Ebelp or you other fitment experts on how this might work/look?

While there's several mods that I have on the "to-do" list (first and foremost, coil-overs and drop the beast), as far as big wheels/tires go, my car might fit in this thread. 20x8.5 in the front on 245/30/20, rears 20x10 on 275/30/20.

275s? Nice! You'll most likely need to roll your rear fenders before lowering the car

Though not my Acura, These are some pretty beefy tires on my other car. Don't think they would look good on my TL though. (245/50R17)

Yeah I was thinking that might be the case judging as my fender bottoms out on the rears already. I figured it was half suspension/half fenders fault.

Volk RE30
17x9
+35 (+20 front, +15 rear with spacers)
255/40/17 front
245/40/17 rear

We didn't realize until after the fact that the tires were wider on one wheel Anyways, the rear fitment was spot on, but the fender literally sat on top of the front tire. I didn't want to move the car and mess anything up.

This was just a test fit! Sadly, these wheels aren't mine

Indeed it is! I loved the look but I would need to adjust the ride height and camber specs to make it drivable.

What's a HBP? High boost pulley?

He says that between his first TL and this one, the supercharger has over 150k miles on it. If the HBP was on the old TL, then it's on this one, and he hasn't had any problems. I believe he says he as an O2 sensor out but besides that, the car runs fine.

We met up earlier this week and his car pulls like hell. The supercharger whine is fuggin loud; I could hear him 3-4 car lengths behind me when he downshifted and got on the gas.

Also, he bumped up to a 265 or 275 on his TEs in the rear, but I don't have any pictures. I'll try to get some soon.

Thank you sir. I also support beefy tires. I can appreciate the stretched look, but I sure enough can't drive on it.

I've got to repost mine. They're gone off of the computer but I think they're on my old camera.

For what it's worth I'm going to run mine in reverse rotation to take off the trailing edges that make the tires noisy. Not fo a long time but maybe 1,000 miles or whenever they get quieter. It will severely hurt the water shedding abilities of the tires (they will try to channel water into the middle of the tire instead of the ouside) but it shouldn't rain here for a long time.

Don't you guys have some insane sidewall flex? Last I had beefy tires was on a 7.5 inch wide with 235's and that was sketchy on any hard corner with undulations. The car would rock around like crazy. With 225's on the same rims it handles better with less flex.

Anyone suffering from major flex?
