gerzand, how lopey is your TL? you are running camshaft grinds either stage 2 or 3?

on a side note, (to others as well) how in the world do you explain lopey? I have seen it but I could never find the words

I'm on "Stage II's"

Regarding "Stage III"...none are currently out there (advertised for sale) unless you grind to your own specs

Aside from describing the sound, from a mechanical standpoint lope is when intake valves are still open when piston is at BDC and exhaust valves are open as well, thus letting a small amount of gases escape into the intake tract

is lopey that crazy sound you'd hear from old mustangs with an E303 cam or whatever it was that would make it sound like it was idling so rough that it sounded like it was about to shut off?

There are varying degrees of lope, but I would categorize my lope as relatively mild. An "agressive lope" would be a 275 or higher duration cam. As you Refer to, the "303" in your "E303 cam" describes the degrees of rotation for which the intake valves are open. That is bordering insanity because it can result in substantial loss of compression at idle or even low rpm's because it is not until mid/high rpm's that the loss of exhaust gases can be outweighed by benefits tp to the combustion process by A) a more efficient evacuation of the combustion chanber of carbon monoxide which improve combustion efficiency, and B) Leaving intake valves open longer as to take in more oxygen, equaling more high end horsepower.

ok people....

i am thinking of going with 500cc injectors....with the new manifold + TB + intake i think i would need bigger injectors....RDX would do fine but thinking of 500cc injectors....

what is a good company that makes injectors ? looking for high atomization as well as a good flow design....any opinions/options for me ?

so should i shuddup and stick with the RDX injectors
also someone know the injector size for the Shawd TL/MDX/RL ???

RDX has the biggest but that is because of the turbo

take teh dag on car out first with the 410cc before getting 500cc.. tune then see...

I could have sworn someone wrote that there were an alternative to the RDX ones that were bigger and cheaper that worked?!?! Can't remember what thread.

Andy, thanks for the response...my head is spinning. I don't know about losing low end on a fox body mustang, but I do know my buddy broke into the 11's on that one.

That was me. It was Injector Dyanmics. These are Bosch's latest technology performance injectors built upon/after the RDX technology. They are big (725cc and up) but ID2000's have been shown to idle a stock LS integra no problem. All motor guys are using them on applications that call for a 310cc and making power over RC's.

http://www.injectordynamics.com/

Here is a Honda-Tech seller, but you have to PM for shipped prices.

http://marketplace.honda-tech.com/sh....php?t=2802588

Also, Xenocron Tuning sells them: http://www.xenocron.com/injectors-c-...775436883229d7

so first by atomization I am going to guess you mean spray pattern

i have no personal experience, and none of my friends around here do either.. (on a side note most of my friends think I am crazy.. they are the type that will just add wheels or tint to their cars and call it a day)

I have researched and I have the following

http://www.onecamonly.com/archive/index.php/t-1895.html
here is a youtube from that thread

also this one:
its a DIY but good research
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/do-yo...r-install.html

and thirdly
http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157469

I have a few more but everything I read says RDX has one of the better spray patterns out there for the money... i did a bit of homework before I gave my lunch money for it

but it is folks opinions, I havent heard anything negative but no concrete data #s on anything.. even though a few civic, RSX, and integra turbo users do get them i still do not have any dyno info.. but I guess I will this summer

now if you go turbo and want over 450hp then you might need something bigger but I have not reasearched into all that is neede for turbo.. for N/A this is what I am figuring I would need in my endeavor to go Ricky Bobby

No prob.

I was gonna add that if money was no object, then ID725's would be the way to go. But the last time I checked, RDX-410's were less than half the price. Kinda makes makes for a no-brainer for us average Joe's. Personally I wish I coiuld justify giving RDX's a try on my Civic/B18C. But the added cost of fuel rail adapters, pigtails and a dyno tune to bring out their max potential are not really in the cards for me any time soon.

It's okay, I drive like a grandma anyways. lol

LOL! That's not even close to a good deal. RDX injectors 16450-RWC-A01 only cost $39 each from the online Acura dealers. The pigtails can't cost more than $40 for brand new set of 4. I hope you guys weren't getting screwed!

i did the math on the cost for injectors and pigtails and they break even from Rodney for the GB.. the one thing to note is that it should be plug and play (meaning still tuning but no cutting).. i also put a $ value on my time being spent cutting/modding stuff to make it fit... i always do the math before i give my lunch money to someone... and the funny part is I am bringing my lunch (brown bagging) to work all this week

i used the wrong word i think....

$400 shipped was for injectors
($40 a pop X 6 = $240)

and i said pigtails where i meant pnp harness
($20 a pop x 6 = $120)

total comes to $360 which i think was the GB price....you will not need to splice any harness or cut any wires....pnp....if you get the scion TC clips and the pigtails you will spend ~$50-60 and then do DIY on em....

hahhaha i know right.....but yeah i doubt i will every push more than 400whp (350 would be nice) and hence i might save some $$$ and stick with RDX ones....

The ID's will make more power no matter what your putting down because of better fuel atomization. Plus having a "matched" set along with all the dead-time, voltage flows & other specs help the tuner really dial them in. A big all-motor 4-cyl build on Honda-Tech was "claiming" 25whp over RC's just from switching & re-tuning. Of course RDX's will out perform RC's as well, and they are still a way better deal ($$$ per hp) over the ID's.

And what's all this P&P harness nonsense. Don't be pansies. I don't bill myself for my own time having fun with a hobby, and you guys shouldn't either. lol

They were with the TC pigtails, not a PnP harness. I forget where I got them, it was about 2 years ago. And it was all 6, with o-rings.
