JayVee's 3G TL
Been away from the forum a lil bit, but not a sranger or neglecting my TL... My fiance' backed into a parked car and only scratched the bumper and I removed the ACURA and the TL badges and when I did it peeled some clear. So I have been a lil upset in my quest to mod. So, I had the trunk shaved and painted and bumper entirely repainted along with the Aspec front lip added on, front grill murdered out, Type S/Aspec trunk deck lid lip added, my roof spoiler painted and installed and finally my TYPE S tails installed... All Thanks to Joe at 813Customs here in Tampa,Fl...

Thanks for all the comments! It does look GREAT! and almost as if was a entirely different or new car! Yes the roof spoiler is ATLP V1 as mentioned above. As for the cost of painting the grille? IDK... I was given a package deal for it all if paid in cash $750.00! So it included the grille. But I did ask awhile back individually and I believe I was quoted $150-200.00. But don't exactly quote me on that.
As for the present mods. YES! That was my exact path taken after being a member here and always snooping around the forum and pics. I realized I did not want smoke tail or even custom ones for that matter and didn't want anything done different to my head lights either. My goal was to set it all off without effecting or altering oem lighting. So the only thing I did was get rid of my tinted tails I did have and swapped them out for brand new oem TYPE S tails. I still like change but I like to change with simple mods and not to JDM Y0! or ricey. I am wanting to keep it in the realm or a sport sedan (EURO) look... If possible. LOL! 
As for the tint, .05% (LIMO) tint FTMFW!
Finally, my next mods are suspension (TEIN C/O's) and wheels/tires and maybe along the way a AEM CAI.

very nice! where did you get the type s decklid lip spoiler? I've seen 4 different sellers on ebay who have it but haven't checked into the site sponsors yet.

Lookin good! I love the roof spoiler and grille.
I would get the rest of the gound effect kit... it always looks half done and wierd without the whole kit!

Jay, in the lower right hand corner of every post are 3 icons. The middle icon is the "multi-quote" icon. Just click on all of the posts you'd like to comment on. But the last quote you'll be commenting on, use the regular "reply" icon.

Thanks! ^BTW... I forgot... one last lil detail that was done by request of me when it went to the shop... The trim pc right above the lic. plate and under the "A" badge in the rear trunk. I had that painted NBP also. Its such a small detail. But still really finished the rear with that clean murdered shaven look.

No...Not ebay... I bought everything here on ACURAzine... Except the front lip... I scored that at FERMAN ACURA Tampa, Fl. the parts dept. rec'd the wrong color for a order that was placed for someone else and my friend called me and told me they dont want to send it back and it so happens to be my color and I would be able to pick it up for a discount... SCORE!!! Brand New out the box! $250.00 Cash!

Carr is looking like crao now IMO... Grille is chipping some, even after 2 visits to repair it. The rear deck lid won't stay down since the passenger side end of the deck lid lip tab broke. And as for the V1 roof wing... That sucks also! Well, it will be under the knife again soon once I find a reputable shop that can gaurantee their work and be sure they can get it just how I want it or how its suppose to look! ...and still no luck with rims although I am searching, again! 
Does anyone have any tips regarding the front grille painted? I really would like to keep the original grille and emblem but may consider the SHARK mouth grille just so I don't have this issue with re-touchin or chipping paint issues. The local shop 813 Customs painted this 2x and said they used BULLY DOG prep/primer and done all that can be done...anyone???

Ok... Starting this thread over without starting this thread over...makes any scense? LOL! Now, catching everyone up to speed and starting from when and how it all started...
When I first posted this thread... I already did some minor work and purchases as mentioned above ^ (Type-S tails, A-Spec rear deck lid and ATLP V1 Roof wing...) but since deleted the pics from my photobucket. Before I did all that, my TL started off as a bone STOCK Acura TL Base Model NBP. Got bored with being so plain-Jane stock so this is what I did within a few weeks of owning the TL.
Yeah Yeah... I know... Yuk! Bluh! ^ LOL! As mentioned above, I removed the smoked tinted tails for some TL-S tails, added a A-Spec front lip, A-Spec rear deck lip. ATLP Roof wing and Murdered NBP out all the silver trim of the TL.... Then as the post above, all that work went to crap and hell! Poor prep and craftmanship on behalf of 813Customs.
Updated to the date ~ Car was dropped off at ADVANCE TECHNOLOGIES today 10/28/2011. After the horror and destruction within months of the work that 813Customs did, I am now confident all will be done and done CORRECTLY! (Not to mention "LIFETIME WARRANTY on ALL Paint and REPAIRS" written on my invoice helps...) Also to follow within the next couple weeks:
* PAINT & REPAIRS to body/custom trims
* TEIN SS Springs
* HONDA/ACURA OEM Window Visors
* 19in x 9.5 +40 AXIS "Power" Matte Gunmetal wheels & Tires
...Can't wait

Sorry things didnt work out with the ATLP V1 roof spoiler.
Even though it wasnt my fault but to make things a tad better, I can black out your headlights free of charge if you are interested. Just send them over whilst the car is in the shop and I'll take care of them in the mean time.

Wow, thats quite a gesture of u JnC... I will keep that in mind and keep u posted. Thats funny u offered that cuz that is my exact next mods next. And I guess this would be the perfect time since they are removing the front end anyways. I will be sure to call over there tomorrow to see if they can remove them for me. As for the wing... Yeah it really sucks. I don't think your fault. ATLP just didnt make a really GOOD product as they are known for. I guess that is why they made the V2. IMO I like the V1 more aggressive look. ADV TECH. says they can fix it. Some tweeking and shaving and maybe a few sheets of layering fiberglass... But he assures he will make it right. We will see. It would be nice if they can reconstruct the flaws with keeping the styling and integrity. Anyways...I will follow up tomorrow regarding what you offered. Real CLASS ACT! Thanks!

well... $1000 later...and here she is...Repainted the roof, hood, trunk, rear bumper, tweeked and rubbed the ATLP wing in better shape as well as any needed fading and blending to all areas and repairs. LOOKS GREAT! The TEIN SS springs were also installed. I am loving the drop of these springs and the ride is not bad either, pretty good. NEXT...Wheels! Coming Soon!

Oh...yeah, before some highly detailed observant member tells me... Yes, I have BAD condensation and a leaking lense on my driver side headlight... I need to get it fixed ASAP! But just can't find the down tip to be without my car functional 100% while removing and waiting for JnC or AckTL05... I am planning to get the headlights blacked out and modded. Thanks!
