I had rasp with the RV6 V3 and stage 3 (partially due to poor welding before Anil comes in here and tells me IMPOSSIBRU).

Totally gone now... because full exhaust.

I want nothing to do with rasp. If there is even a slight chance of it I cross it off my list

I attribute it much more to having cut up and welded the stage exhaust mod than the jpipe...FWIW

Could be a combo of both, but I also had rasp once I added the RV6 V3 pipe to my Stage 3 setup.

The Machine (Chip) does not have rasp. I don't know what it could really be.

I also have no rasp anymore ATLP for the win haha. It's so worth it. The stage 3 was nice for a while but I wish I had saved my $200 to put towards a catback.

^^^ THIS @ Will

Kurt, I would blame the HFC in the type S and the free-er flowing exhaust/mufflers...

the rasp comes across like a rattle but there is no metal to metal vibration...its the exhaust pulses bouncing off the exhaust walls...do try wrapping the jpipe/etc, it will help slightly with the rasp...

I currently have no issues with rasp on Stage 3 exhaust since switching to the V2-R J-Pipe, it was only with the RV6. Still planning on getting the ATLP V2-R Exhaust.

A little update...

I needed new brake pads, the old pads had about 50% life left, but the rears would keep squealing no matter what i did. Even took them apart and re-greased them, would be ok for couple hundred miles and squealing about be back. It was getting pretty annoying.

I went with the NAPA Adaptive One pads, my Drilled/Slotted Rotors looked fine and in great shape. I've had them for a month now and love them. Lifetime warranty and guaranteed to be noise free. If they do, I can take them in and get replacements.

I then switched out my USR Switchback Sidemarkers and went back to the Stock/TL-S Smoke Sidemarkers all around.

Just a quick garage shot while its raining outside

Plan on taking some new shots Labor Day Weekend. I'm also working on a Custom Exhaust. Decided to go custom instead of the ATLP V2-R Exhaust. $1500 is just a bit steep for me having to pay for my son's school each month.

nope, not doing that at all, before or after the new pads. I made sure the new pads were chamfered since i remember you having issues with that.

nope, that squeaking was getting really annoying and it was both of the rears.

i've put over 1k miles on the new pads and still quiet. If and when they do squeal, I'll just take them in and get new replacements.

Looking good. Nice that you went back to OEM sidemarkers. Stock is the best.
Wish you resurfaced the rotors before getting the new pads on.

Hard to resurface dimpled/slotted, Mehmet.

Will, I'm sure they'll be fine. My brakemotive pads DO put out a crazy amount of rusty residue...I'm sure that was part of it.

Yea, I haven't had any issues so far. I didn't notice any excessive dust from the Brakemotive pads.

It's not really dust, almost like when it would get wet it'd leave this crazy rusty water trail on the inside barrel of my wheels.

If you switch the front lighting back to amber, the white sides don't really flow well. In addition, the outer look of the USR is a little different than stock and over time, it becomes more challenging to get them to stay in.

I actually ended up retrofitting this relay module that a vendor for my S2000 makes for the sidemarker. Ended up working flawlesslesly on the TL to make the OEM's blink.

Don't remember seeing that on the Ron Jon's I had or the A-Spec Wheels.

The USR Sidemarkers are darker than the Stock Smoke look and rockstar143 just rocks them so well on his TL.

Yea, I saw that, looks great. I may do that later, but not now. Did you end up doing it for all four sidemarkers or just the fronts?

I no longer have the Quad Tip Exhaust, I went back to the Stock Base TL Tips and went with a Custom Exhaust. It sounds great and I love it. The exhaust does sound a bit louder than the videos since its had time to break-in.

its a custom bracket that lets me flip the license plate under the bumper to hide it. i forgot to flip it down for the pics. Colorado requires a front plate, I've been hassled about it when i ran no plate, so i have this.

thanks, nah, just 2.5 to the Y, then 2.25 to the mufflers. its a definite improvement over stock since the stock exhaust is 2.25 down to 1.75
