I used your instructions to help me remove the steering wheel on my 2008 Acura TL w Navi. I needed to fix the Cruise Control switch which had stopped working and would not stay in allowing cruise control to function. I was trying to follow another post that said you could remove the back screws holding the cruise control module to the steering wheel. I found that to be impossible with the back cover on, so I removed the wheel and the rest was easy. I was able to replace the white plunger in the switch from Mouser part#: 688-SPPH120400 without having to desolder and replace the whole switch. There are other posts that describe how to do this. So, for $12 including shipping for 2 switches (I screwed up the 1st try and had to resort to using the white plunger from the 2nd switch), I now have a functioning cruise control switch!

Okay, I'm bumping an old thread here as I will be removing a 2005 steering wheel this weekend. I'm seeing mixed reviews about needing a steering wheel puller or not. How many people have been able to remove without one?
