A/C not blowing air
has anyone ever had this problem? about 2 days ago i pushed the a/c button to turn it on and no air is being blown out hellllpppp please.

sounds like you have an A/C problem!! but seriously, i would take it to the dealer if its still under warranty or take it somewhere that will give u a free estimate just to know what the problem is.

Could be a couple of things, If you say that "no air is being blown out" it sound like its your blower fan.
1. Check your fuse for the blower fan. Should be a simple fix if this is the problem.
2. Could be your AC thermostat. I have heard of TLs auto temp thermos "sticking" so that the fan won't blow. I assume that you have tried the AC on without the auto therm to eliminate this as a possible problem.
3. Could be a bad blower motor. Rare, but possible.
Best of luck solving the problem. Report back what the solution was.

ive checked my fuses and its not that. i also checked the relays under the hood by swaping it out but nothing still. so imma have to take it to the dealer to get it looked at and i will let yall know what the prob is. thanks

I had a problem with mine when it was pretty new, something like a field mouse made a small nest in the fan and blocked it up. I guess its pretty common in the Northeast - according to the dealer and due to the design by honda/acura.

i found the problem! when i checked the fuses and relays they were good. so i decide to check under my dash on the passenger side and one of the wires connecting to the fan i beileve was kinda of faulty. i turned on my car played with the wires and my fan was blowing air. thank god its getting hot out here

Try running the climate control's self diagnostic feature.
Could be a bad wiring connector for the blower, maybe air mix motor or possibly a fuse ?

or engine cooling fans- pass side should come on with ac on but doesn't?
did you replace engine fan temp sensor A yet?
does driver side radiator fan come on and off when at stoplight?

Common Problem on our cars. Surprised that someone hasn't told you. The harness on the fan motor heats up and produces a faulty connection. It actually melts. Pull the connection to the blower motor off. If it's somewhat melted like mine was just go to the Acura Garage. They have a replacement harness you can buy. I just cut and spiced the wires in mine.

Thank you so much for your input. Exactly the problem I just ran into yesterday. Total time to repair 2 minutes based on your input, however it appears that I should replace my connector as it is pretty badly burned on one side. Thanks!

MUST replace that asap - fires are a total bummer
may also damage the blower motor and its resistor with arcing of voltage thru bad connector

The new harness comes wih several connectors besides the one that goes into the blower motor. I chose to cut and slice the wires to the main connector on the blower motor vs. trying to disconnect the other ones.

I also have a problem with my A/C. It's blowing air, but isn't cold. A couple weeks ago, I took it to a shop and was told that the resistor was bad and got that replaced. It worked fine for a week or so and now it's not blowing cold air anymore. Can't go through the summer in Texas without any A/C!
Does anyone know a diagnosis I can do to determine what the cause is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't care...
I assume when you took it to the shop it was because the fan wasn't blowing (that would be the only reason a resistor would be involved - no resistors involved with a/c itself). So now its blowing but the air coming out is not cold. You've already checked fuses, right?
Can you locate your a/c compressor? A quick check would be to see if the compressor clutch is engaging and rotating with the engine on and a/c selected. If the clutch is not engaging and rotating there's a good chance you're low on refrigerant (could be a bad clutch, faulty wiring, etc but more than likely it's low on refrigerant). Hooking up a gage set will tell you whether you have refrigerant or not.
Can you locate your a/c compressor? A quick check would be to see if the compressor clutch is engaging and rotating with the engine on and a/c selected. If the clutch is not engaging and rotating there's a good chance you're low on refrigerant (could be a bad clutch, faulty wiring, etc but more than likely it's low on refrigerant). Hooking up a gage set will tell you whether you have refrigerant or not.

Don't care...
It's actually illegal to charge an empty system without leak checking it. Most shops use a recharge/recycle machine that has a vacuum decay leak check feature. The problem is certain leaks only leak under pressure (like compressor shaft seals often).

I agree, back to the same shop for a `come-back` (free) job,,it wasn't done right the first time!!
might be as simple as a failed oring on a hose
hopefully they added some leak finder dye with the Freon, with special eye glasses or UV light- the dye jumps out- find and fix~

when you turn the ac on, does the passenger side fan= radiator/condenser fan come on ?

I sometimes get a shuddering noise coming form the passenger side vent, turn the a/c off and back on and it goes away. Other days it lasts longer, but ends up going away, weird. Anyone else have this problem or nah?

if the resistor was fried there is a good chance the connector is at fault

Thanks for the input guys.
I did take it back to the shop for a free checkup. Refrigerant level was low, so there is a leak somewhere. The mechanic told me he emptied out the system, put some kind of dye in there, and filled it back up. Told me to come back in a week or so to check for any leaks. A/C is back to the way it was after filling up with refrigerant.

Tosh - I did try the diagnostics check. It was hot outside, I kept holding down auto and off buttons and all it did was blink "88". Don't know how long I was suppose to hold it for, but after some time I was annoyed and stopped.

I had the same problem. My A/C wasn't blowing cold air at all. I took it to Acura and they told me it was my Condenser Fan Motor. They wanted like 500$ for the part + labor. I just ordered it online for 180$ and did it myself. Now its ice cold.
