They look so damn good with meaty tires. I'm going back to 235s or 245s when my 215s need replacement.

235 is where it's at. Not too tall, not too thin.

Forgot to post these......more A-Spec porn.........all wet this time around....

Gotta love the 8.5in A-Specs. Of course the extra 1/2 inch is always welcomed but more importantly the spokes go all the way uninterrupted to the tire making the wheels look a little bigger.

In all honesty when i've got these on its the first thing mentioned when i get a compliment on the car. With the other wheels on the compliment is just about the car in general. There is really something special about this wheel design.

I had 235/40/18 and they looked good as well....not really a stretch, not really a bulge look, and decent amount of sidewall....

currently am running a 255/35/18 tire on an 18x9 rim and am in love with that look...

eager to see some new shots of the aspecs on the car....

Any reason why you went with a 35-series sidewall opposed to a 40?

just checked this:

stock size: 235/45/17 - 17x8 +45
+1 size: 235/40/18 - 18x8 or 18x8.5 +45 --> When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 60.1mph (96.8km/h): 0.2% faster.
your size: 235/35/18 - 18x8 or 18x8.5 +45 --> When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 57.9mph (93.2km/h): 3.5% slower.

guess no more tickets for you

I have 235/18 and I'll likely go 245 when I get a good deal...they're almost bald on the inside which is why I don't swap back and forth with the Advan anymore. 235's dont' hide the outer edge of the lip and i have previous owner curbing i want to hide.

I'm surprised that with your disdain for lowering too much, you went with a thinner sidewall...doesn't look bad but the gap would be more obvious and you're basically driving on a 19" wheel harshness of ride on a 35.

Either way, we already know you're winning.

my tires wear even but they are harsh. The harshness has a lot to do with the brand because my 19s which seem thinner feel softer.

I keep waiting to get the pics and videos done right with Adam. My wife couldnt care less. My buddies nearby are not car guys so they won't help either.

LMAO...my best rolling video was in a Chili's parking lot where betty filmed with my phone

Wasn't questioning your logic, just picking your brain about the smaller size.

Thx man, i really need to get back into modding again. Been too preoccupied with other things. First i need to fix my accord fogs which for some strange reason now stay on even if the lights and even the whole car is off. THE ABSOLUTE LAST THING i want to do is prematurely replace the battery which requires removing the whole S/C to get to it. I need to find the wiring diagram on these again to see what might be going on with this.

Could it be as simple as a switch problem?

Its weird. The lights stay on whether switch is engaged or not (not supposed to happen, i'm using factory switch). Lights stay on whether headlights are on or not (not supposed to happen, relay coil power source is from headlights fuse...no lights should remove this power). Lights stay on whether the car is on (not supposed to happen...no power, no car lights , no fog lights). Need that wiring diagram, remember where to find it??

I don't, but I'm going to say that my initial thought given my knowledge of wiring, is that is that your relay is stuck to the on position. Swap out the relay.

at relay:
12V fused to battery
Black to ground (sometimes extra ground at light source)
trigger on/off to switch inside car
Positive to lights

Already checked (and even swapped it out i think) but i did have a couple beers in me and I was in a hurry so i'll check it again because it makes sense that could be the source. If regardless of what happens with the various switches & power source on the coil side of the relay the lights still receive power then the switch side of the relay could be stuck. Gonna try to check it tonight. Thx

Now if i find i have constant power going to the coil regardless of switch position, lights of or car off then its freaky.

TL looks great Mas...as always. Love the Avant Garde M368's.

Hard to tell from the pic since I can't tell if it's a hatchback or not...but is your wife's car a CLK 430? I used to love those

Thx man. Wifey's got a C230 Kompressor. Had it for 6 years with no significant problems, panoramic sunroof, decent power for a supercharged 4-cylinder.....has been good to us.

The more I think about it, the more I'm certain it has to be the relay...if car is OFF, only way it would be POSSIBLE to stay illuminated is if the 12V was still sending signal directly from the battery...I'm really leaning toward that being it. Try and new relay or try unplugging it and see if they turn right off (should, obviously).
