Gas Station Wash GRRRRRRR
So I run my car through a touchless wash at a gas station last night like I always do and at one pt thought I felt the back of my car get pushed down slightly. Thinking it was maybe some added water pressure and not really paying much attention i pull out once it was done and drive home. Get into to my garage and start wiping down the excess water only to notice there are 2 huge dents/scratches on the top of my trunk. Man I freak out, my car is only 3 months old. So apparently what had happed is those rotating rods that spray the high pressure water with those heads didnt extend far enough out and two of them basically dropped ontop of my trunk. Ugh sooo fng pissed. So I went back to this gas station and talked to the owner/mgr. He was very nice about it, took down all my info and said that he will call the carwash company in the morning and their insurance. Asked me to come by today during lunch...... Wish me luck

mm sucks doode but i would never put my car through one of thoe things for that exact same reason. i've heard nothing but bad things and i would never put my car through that in fear of what just happenned to you.
on the bright side, its good that the station is taking care of the situation and addressing it instead of just ignoring it.

Those never get the car clean anyway, its more of a rinse. They use dirty re-cycled water anyway. You are better off cleaning the car yourself once a week by hand. Good luck, and I hope they repair your car for you.

that sucks, but the lesson to learn, is to not use any type of car wash period....
full service car washes with hand wipe downs at the end are just as bad...its just a scratch fest on your car...if you dont care that much, then go for it, but if you are really picky, never let anyone but yourself wash your car.....

Stay away from touchless washes man, the chemicals they use in there are 10X stronger than that of a regular wash. Why? Because it's touchless and it has to be that more effective because of it. Trust me, a friend of mine runs a car wash with both touchless and regular.
Find one of those do-it-yourself places where you pay by the minute if you have no where else to wash it. If not, dry it as soon as you pull out of the bay because the chemical residue mixed with the sun will eat your paint and fade your window molding!!
Just some friendly advise.
Cheers man.
