2004 TSX HID - Is there a relay? Where?

2004 Acura TSX. Low beam issue. isolated that prob is not ballast or bulb. Comes on sometimes with the switch being turned on/off/on over and over. totally unpredictable. Question: Fuses are good. Is there a relay that might be going out or getting stuck? If there is no relay, its got to be the igniter due to me isolateing the problem due to trial and error. Please advise

Relays are integrated in Relay Control Module (part of underhood fuse box).

Have you checked the stem switch? This could also cause intermittent on/off problem.

good luck

That sounds like a textbook Ballast issue to me... Exchange them from on side to another to rule it out.

How did you figure it was not the ballast ?

Your best bet here is to get out a multimeter and test for voltages at the power connector. If you turn the switch on and the light is off, then use the multimeter to confirm that the ballast is receiving the correct voltage at the plug.

If the light is off and you have the correct power, your issue is not electrical, but rather a failure of the bulb, ballast, and/or ignitor. My experience says that a bad ballast will generally take out the bulb and ignitor with it and you'll have to replace all 3.

Has your light been turning pink/purple or is it always white/blue?

I'm assuming you have OEM parts and not cheap aftermarket chinese bulbs?
