Front seat comfort

That's unfortunate that you guys are having comfort issues with the seat. I just went on a 13 hour drive in all kinds of weather conditions (Tucson, AZ to Salt Lake City, UT). Thought the seats were pretty comfortable considering how long I was in the car.

I find the seats quite comfortable. The wife and me drove from Northern BC Canada to NYC and back last summer. Neither of us were in pain at all. The TSX has to be the most enjoyable cars I have owned.

UPDATE:
today I tried nearly every position available and focused really hard to everything. I have pain no in the lower back, but between scapulae. And I have two news - the good is that I found at 99% the problem, the bad is that it probably cannot be solved.
The thing is, that the seat has good side-support, but this support is going to high and deep. I have athletic body and V-shaped back, and the problem is, that in the higher back, the seat is too tight in my shoulders area, and this squeezes my back. I am not leaning at my back, but my shoulders! I did a primitive diagram, comparing Benz seats and BMW seats, you can easily see what I am talking about.
I am guessing that thin people haven't this problem because they are not limited by the side-supporters, and people with more body fat is probably ok too, because their fat simply fill the gap between the seat and theirs back.
Maybe they designed this for more subtle people in Japan, who knows... Now, what the hell should I do?

I agree, the 2010 TSX's front seats are uncomfortable for long drives (30+ minutes). I currently have a 2 hour round trip commute to work, and by the time I get out of the car my lower back and thighs are hurting. I drive a manual, which kind of limits where I can position the seat because I need to be in a good position to reach the clutch, shifter, etc.
I find that the problem for me exists with the side "wings" on the base of the seat. I'm 6'2" 175lbs and these side support parts of the seat dig into my thighs (sides) to the point of which I start to go a little numb after an hours drive. That said, for short rides the car is amazingly fun to drive and the seats don't bother me too much.
I also agree that the lumbar support is too high (by about 2 inches) so I bought a lumbar support pillow. Unfortunately, the thing was too big and didn't help much. I am looking for a small, thin flat cushion, possibly memory foam that can fit directly onto the base of the seat, raising me up a half inch or so. That way, the lumbar wouldn't be too high and the base's side support wings wouldn't be digging into my thighs.
Coming from an '06 TSX, I used to love driving in it after work because the seats were much more comfortable. I think a lot has to do with the side wings for me.

I am 5-8 and 170 and I find the seats extremely comfortable. Took my 10 TSX on a trip from Pittsburgh to Chicago and back over 2 days. No complaints at all.
Getting them set just right is tough, I think the manual seats in my Jetta were easier to place where I wanted them. But once they are placed, they are perfect.
I would imagine for larger people the seat bolsters could infringe on their space and could get uncomfortable. Like another on here, I sit IN my seats.
Keep adjusting

I have same problem with the 05 TL the seat side "wing" digs into my left thigh making it go numb, irritating as all get out! Please let me know if anyone come up with a padded solution or upholstery suggestion.

Summer is Coming
I have the 1G TSX and also lower back issues. I don't have a problem with the TSX seat but with other seats I do have a problem so I 'feel your pain' as they say. For the office I bought a seat cushion from "Relax the back" store. It was $135 and I thought that was ridculous... until I used it and it really helped my back sitting 8-10 hours a day at the office (a HM Aeron Chair). I would have paid 3 times the amount. The one I have is the 'travel lite' cushion on this page. Looks a little different in this picture. It also has a removable section right at the 'tailbone.'
The thought is that the added cushion might raise you up slightly, making the lumbar hit you lower on the back and raising others jsut slightly higher on those offending 'wings.'
I guess I'm going to have to do an extended test drive in the 2G if I'm going to buy it. I've spent over 7 hours in the 1G in traffic and had no problem.

My Wife drives the TSX I got the old CL as my daily. After 218,000 miles, STILL the best seats I have ever sat in.
The little I drive the 2010 TSX I like the seats, in that they are comfortable. But the CL's are much much better.
I am 6,1 230lbs

boost owns
At 6'3" 220lbs the 1G TSX seats hurt me after an hour or so. Starts in my lower back/hip, and works its way up. I suspect it's because of the side bolstering - I'm never sitting all the way "back" into my seat because of it, so my torso and head/neck are forced to hold themselves in place. Kinda wack, really.

I am not a fan of the lumbar support at all. It is annoying to my back. I have driven some 3hrs in my 09 tsx with no back or other problems to speak of. I am athletic and 200lbs also I am 6ft tall

After fiddling around with the stupid 8 way power seats (seriously, I only need my seat backs to tilt, and seats to slide forward and back), my back no longer hurts on long trips.
You just gotta sit in the seats and play around with it until you find the most comfortable position.
