HFL Replacement or Alternative

I’ve read up on the problems with the HFL module....battery drain, Bluetooth problems. Mine now is unable to pair with the phone. The setup goes part way fine until it’s supposed to be searching for the phone, but this never happens. I’ve done the diagnostic, and it says it’s ok. I’ve unclipped the module, then reengaged, but that didn’t solve the problem. Online searches for replacement says this has been discontinued, and only used modules are for sale (and no guarantees they work). Is there an alternative for our 1st gen cars for phone capability or other ideas to fix the module? I have an 07rdx

I would just add a bluetooth module that connects to your Aux port and call it a day, screw the crappy Acura HFL module, not worth fixing nor replacing.

find a good electrician or electronic shop, and bring the bluetooth module. ask to reball it or resolder some cracked solders due to vibration.

Thanks for replies. I did the baking fix and finally have it paired. It still seems to be working so all good so far.
