New 3G '05 TL owner here!!

Hello everyone,

I just recently bought a 05 TL w/ navi with 61K on it and was wondering if there is any service i should do or be concerned about around this mileage? Also i just bought all the led lights for interior, license plate, reverse lights and my next purchase was trying to get a adapter for a aux cable since i dont own any apple products lol. Any suggestions?

P.S also ordering my Aspec kit hopefully next Fri

what do you mean, you dont own any apple products?
our cars are not fitted with apple products....lol
might be the previous owners modification

and there shouldnt be any maintenance or service at 60k miles...your on board computer WILL tell you if any service is needed.

additionally, if anything is broken, fix it.
I would inspect the fluids and based on what I find, change fluids if needed.
brakes, if brakes are done, change brakes.
tires, if tires are done, change tires.

Enjoy your new car!

sorry i meant all the after market adapters i see is for a ipod connection and my phone is a droid so i really just want one for the headphone jack on top!

Thank you i just see that the oil is at 30% so ima change all the fluids this weekend along with airfilter and maybe spark plugs?

The service history is replaced the brake pads around 10k ago, and not sure about the rest! I got the car from a dealer with a carfax stating its a 1 owner, clean title car! Im just trying to cover my bases on anything i should probably replace at this mileage!

no, check them!
if they need to be changed, change them.

spark plugs are good for 105k miles.
its good habit to recheck the torque on the plugs once in a while tho. some times, they like to eject. Not to scare you or anything, just something to check.

i am assuming it is a VERY clean car and in immaculate condition.
all you have to do is check to see if things are bad.

if things are bad, obviously change them.
this includes;
power steering fluid.
oil
brakes
tires
etc.

Check and if they are needed, if needed change.
but with a 1 owner 67k mile car, you probably dont have to do ANYTHING.

Just drive and enjoy

If it's an automatic, change your tranny fluid- drain and fill. Change your 3rd and 4th pressure sensors on the tranny. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just run a search of those items in google and include AcuraZine in your search.

Don't forget about the cabin air filter not to be confused with the engine air filter. Read some of the threads in the 3G Service Department, it will be a good guide for you.

Congrats on your new ride JLP.

Hey, we also have a Multi-Quote button on AcuraZine. It's the middle icon in the lower right hand corner of each post. It allows you to respond to more than one person in a single reply. It will look like Post #10! Be sure to give it a try.

Welcome!

And at that mileage, I would make sure you drain and refill your engine oil, transmission oil and power steering

Everybody gave you great advice, post some pictures when you can!

Definitely do a 3x3 on the trans, preferably with a Dexron III fluid or a blend of that and Type F, most of us go with Redline fluids, but almost anything to those specs will be better than the weak sauce Honda put in the trans.

thank you

Just finish doing research and saw most people went with redline D4. So just for my understanding you drain fill it with 3 quarts of redline drive, repeat this process or do you use less while you are just draining and refilling?

Congrats! Good thinking on the a-spec kit, however i think the side skirts are discontinued for our color (cbp)? If you happen to find them please let me know as I've been searching for a while..
