Do not care for dirt driving. Multiple attempts on the new seasonal & could only manage silver
Did get gold first try in the GT350 on Willow Springs :smug: & picked up 2 more golds on the S-License. Just Aventador/Brands Hatch & Veyron/Ascari left.

Did the FT-1 Challenge again tonight. Now I remember why I only played it a couple times before. Hate that track. Hate that car. Combining the FT-1's insanely unpredictable handling, (massive understeer followed by massive oversteer), with a million off-camber corners is just a mess. On to the new seasonals.

I actually didn't have too much of a problem with the FT-1 with understeer or oversteer, Braking points were my issue. Once I got that, I used the controller right stick to control my accelerating.

I disabled the accelerator/brake with the right stick. Just couldn't get used to it.
BTW, my mic was dead Saturday.

And of course, my mic finished charging right after you signed off.

I don't usually like the dirt races but the Range Rover Evoque seasonal event has got to be one of the best GT6 seasonals yet IMO.

That's a tough course too, lots of low speed stuff & have to keep it off the walls.

Anyone going back to GT5 for the last seasonal events? I tried them both, silver on the TG test track & bronze on the 'Ring.
Also, supposedly, we're getting Senna's Lotus 97T (without the John Player logos) in GT6 this month.

BMW Vision Gran Turismo Joins The GT6
From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...-the-gt6-ranks
If you’re not already trying to race your way into a pro seat with Gran Turismo, you’ve probably made plans to do so at some point. But whether you’re a hardcore driving sim fan or just a casual gamer, you’ll love BMW’s latest addition to Gran Turismo 6: the Vision Gran Turismo.
Good for 549 virtual horsepower, and developed by BMW M, the Vision Gran Turismo gets its video game power from a fictional but excellent turbocharged 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that we’d like to see in real life.
Far from being mere exercise in fantasy, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo video game race car is intended to forecast some of the developments of racing’s real-world future.
“The development of the BMW Vision Gran Turismo combines our many years of motorsports experience with signature BMW Design. The race car anticipates future racing trends and allows gaming fans even more to experience BMW racing quality,” said Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, vice president of brand communication for BMW, BMW i, and BMW M.
Among the Vision Gran Turismo’s future race-inspired technology is the turbo engine, a curb weight of just 2,605 pounds, and downforce-producing carbon bodywork that simultaneously minimizes drag.
BMW says the new video game race car also shows its commitment to gaming, which allows more people to experience its cars, both real and fictional, historic and futuristic, than would otherwise get the chance.

I haven't driven it yet but my first thought is...underwhelming. The Merc VGT was a radical design. The BMW VGT looks like an M4 with a wide body kit an a big wing.

But, at least it's a little development into the game & a holdover until we get Senna's kart & Lotus later this month.

Yes. It's something at least. PD had originally said that all of the VGT cars would be released by the end of 2014. At this rate though, we wouldn't see them all until Gran Turismo 9 comes out on the PS5. I am definitely looking forward to the Senna content as well as the vintage track layouts that are coming in a couple weeks. Hopefully it is not limited to a couple of races.

Maybe they'll give us the tracks as usable outside of the seasonal events.

Not a big fan of the Vision BMW understeers & just not as awesome as the Vision MB was.

Will do. I think I have it close for drafting. Just stretched all the gears out & put the final drive where you said, then just tuning 5th gear back so I can get some pull out of it without hitting the limiter.

Glad things are starting to pick up (seemingly) with some development for the game.

Finally finished the new seasonal events. I actually really like the way the BMW VGT drives, although I really wish the design itself was a little more radical. I'm going to try to move up the rankings a little more before the event closes. Feel free to try to beat my times on the Cappuccino and Renault events.
