So, I've been reading all over threads, nothing specific to the 2G MDX, and waaaaaay too many factors every where (actuators, assembly, solenoid, battery, etc.).

I thought I'd give my description here before I tried my own diagnostics. The car is a 2007 MDX Sport and Entertainment, approx 100k miles, still on OEM battery. Car starts without any issues at all.

Now, and for the past month or so, the locks do not lock/unlock completely with the FOB. Same for the lock/unlock button inside the car. It is only unlocked when manually opened with the key, in the hole. Fuse is obviously good because the relay is attempting to lock (the locks engage/disengage about 50% through the job). This applies to every single door inside the car with the FOB/lock/unlock buttons.

Any thoughts from experienced problems?

Sounds pretty odd. Do all of the other electrical item work? DVD player? Mirrors? Windows go up and down okay? Can you get the windows to open up by using the fob? Does the tailgate open and close properly on it's own? Reason I am asking is I know that weak or dying batteries are known to be symptomatic in all sorts of odd electrical quirks. I know you said the MDX starts fine and the battery is the original, it might make sense to have it tested. Just some thoughts to get you started.......

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't tried the windows with the FOB yet, but the DVD player seems to work fine, radio and electricals all work fine as well. I disconnected the bluetooth some time ago, due to parasitic draw, which was killing the battery. I'll have to get the battery tested.

So all doors can lock and unlock with the key inside keyhole?

But nothing works with inside switch and remote?

Can you arm the car with the remote?

Can you arm it with key in hole?

Even interstate batteries need to be replaced after 3 years. I'd do that first just because you have 100k on the same battery.

Is there a body ecu on the MDX? Usually that handles locks and such. Have you reset the main ecu by taking the neg batt cable off for 20 mins?
