Another TL-S vs Si race

Civic has intake/header back exhaust and mostly aesthetic mods.
He was trash talking(friendly) so he wanted a run.

honestly, I've driven a couple SI's and they feel pretty quick when you are the driver. however when you race one, they arent that quick. I think it's just a combination of the sound/high rev/vtec feel that makes you think you are going faster than you really are

Suprised to see this on video. Good kill. I still think the SI has one of the best close-ratio gear box to-date.

i guess, but they rev so high when cruising on the highway, they get so loud. 80mph is almost at 4k rpm

No doubt the gears are short in the Si, but they also have another 1,000rpm to go - Same thing goes in my S2000, at 80mph I'm pushing about 4500rpm

Back on topic - Civic looked like he needed a drive mod, but I'd still put my money on a bolt-on 5AT TL-S pulling.

Nice run.

i've done quite a few runs with my friend with an 07 SI w/ k24, full bolt ons, and tune.

those cars are pretty quick after a couple mods. if that rsx with the k24 has Kpro and bolt ons I dont think you'll beat him. But I guess it depends on how good of a driver he is

theres a member(yonkersracing) here with an rsx with full bolt on and K pro and he ran high 13's in the 1/4.

I raced him once before, he was mostly stock with k-pro. I pulled ahead of him by maybe less than a foot. Past 60 he started creeping(maybe the difference of 1mph) on me but we shut down shortly after.
He's re-tuned and added the RBC intake. Should be fun.

LOL.

OP nice kill. Like most Hondas, SI's sound like they're moving fast when they're barely keeping up.

If the K24 has any driver skill whatsoever he will walk you.

I haven't watched the Si vid but they can be pretty quick with bolt ons/tune. As any car, driver makes a big difference. Yonkers has gone as quick as 12.9 now on his new setup with cams/e85 and more weight reduction. He will go faster though, considering he only had 2 runs on his current setup.
