Ok...I've had enough of my wobble. I am really at a loss. I wish I wasn't out of warranty. I went to a rack and pinion/cv specialist and they told me they felt the wobble but can't see anything wrong underneath. I've turned back to the dealership. I'm hoping this ends up being a stupid issue. I have an appointment next Wednesday and I'm hoping to have some recourse at this point. I'm tired of having people agree that there's something wrong but nothing they can find to fix it.
I originally went thru a hookup at the dealership where the shop foreman told me it was the driver axle that was the problem. Changed it and it's still there. He won't return my calls and it's left me with little recourse. At this point, the wobble is the ONLY thing keeping me from loving this car. It looks great...drives great...pretty decent gas mileage...but the wobble makes me want to get rid of it.
Fingers crossed.

I reread what your problem is, it's a wobble on acceleration, correct? I have a wobble/shimmy at around 70mph and above in the steering wheel. The steering wheel will move back and forth about 1/32 of an inch, just enough to notice it... and be annoying. If I get mine figured out, I'll definitely let you know.

Thanks man...yours may be a high speed balance, no? Mine is worse...it's basically every gear but MOST noticeable and annoying in 2nd...2500 rpms to 3500 rpms the car itself shimmy's back and forth...like I see my valentine one moving side to side and everything. VERY annoying.

Hmmm...not really...mostly just the car itself. Bad rear lower control arm bushing? How can I tell? I HOPE you're onto something...trust me...I'd fly to where you're at and give you a hug.
I did strip one of the endlinks on the rear strut bar, but I replaced it. Should be ok.

Keep us updated!.. I love troubleshooting the TL, sometimes I think everything's an issue though.. so I breathe and say, relax, it's normal.. ........ (waiting until wheel falls off)

Hey Rockstar,
Can you give me your details?
Year, trans, upgrades, etc...
And what are all the symptoms?
Hot, cold?
Accel, coast, or decel?
Always the same road speed or trans speed?
What happens around corners in the specified problem range?
Shimmy in steering wheel or seat base?
When EXACTLY did this start to happen?
How many miles on the car?
Factory rims/ tires?
Any brake mods?
Both drive axles replaced?
Has the trans. had the 3rd gear update? (I assume it's a M/T)
If so, did it start after this??

Thank you for all the information guys...figured this out. I know others are lowered lower than I was...but my axles in particular did NOT like being slammed. I was tucking some tire...brought it up to 1 tight finger gap and I'm straight now. The axles and wobble completely disappeared. I didn't have a camber kit so who knows...that might have helped...but really...IMO giving up 3/4" of drop for the car to drive awesome is well worth it. Fixed it on Wed...got it realigned yesterday and this car is the love of my life once again.
Thank you all for your questions and e-troubleshooting!

Yes...it's exactly like that...I swear...I'm giddy to drive it once again knowing that I won't be feeling that dreaded wobble and will only enjoy it.
About rotating tires...it's front drive so your fronts will go faster. I rotate ever 5K miles when I change my synthetic oil. If you've never done it...rotate them before it's too late! About people doing what they're supposed to do on their own...they usually don't so don't bank on it!

Anyone have any updates? Someone said a TSB was issued, but usually they appear on this forum pretty quickly. I put a A-spec on my care and saw mine are starting to tear, not as bad as what as pictured here, Yet!!

took my 06 tl to Niello Acura, They took pictures of the bushing submitted then to Acura and this coming wednseday they are changing them, Thanks to AZ and this thread, My tl is lowered and still being covered under the warranty

SHAWD 04TL is in

acording to what the Niello Service department stated to me they are seeing it in all 3G tl's, They simply took picture to document sent to Acura and they said replace this is not just on lowered cars but all TL's, Roger take your to Fresno Acura, ask them to look at and send to Acura, suspect they are taking care of to perhaps not getting a NTSB recall. Roger you know my TL I was pleasantly surprised they offered to replace I will update after Wednseday on handling, clunk noise and what else they say

Ryan's loving his ATLP TL
HEY GRATE WRITEUP,TX, BUT UNFORTUNATELY MINE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE PIC ABOVE!!
WHAT DO U MEAN IS NOT RELIABLE TO STAMP OUT THE OLD BUSHING??
I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS BUT FROM FINANCIAL POINT OF VIEW FOR THE PRICE OF GETTING 2 NEW CONTROL ARMS I RATHER STAMP OUT THE BUSHING EVERY YEAR, SINCE I THINK I'LL BE RUNNING INTO THIS IN 2 YEARS THE MOST!!

Got my TL back Friday they had the car 2 days what adifference no more noise, has a new car ride they also did a wheel alignment all at no charge. Again this not only happening to lowered TL but ALL TL's, The road to getting it repaired is very simple take your TL to the dealer have them take a picture and submit to Acura, looked at mine on Wednseday they called me back 2 days later and asked me to bring back ASAP, they had TL 2 days, suppplied me with a loaner, TL feels like new with according to the dealer to new and improved bushing, They actually replaced the whole assy.

Three Wheelin'
Still the same...You can buy the bushing and push it in yourself if your up to the task. I recently knocked mine out all I need to do is push mine in. One side was ok while the other side had a pretty big tear. The bushing is like 20 bucks or so and a lca is 230 so I went with the bushing lol.

I'm really eager to hear how Trippinbeats urethane bushings worked out. I get the feeling that this is the best thing we could do.
