clicking noise near shift knob when braking (video)

so my car makes some strange rather loud clicking sound as soon as i hit the brakes near the shifter not sure whats the cause, anyone has any clue? im guessing its the brake line cable but what do i know...

i think all do that, idk about that loud tho, its just the lock on the park so you have to engage the brake to get out of park

What he said. Obviously, it wasn't that loud when you bought the car, but idk how it gets louder or how to make it quieter.

I can hear mine, but it's not as loud as yours.

mines almost that loud - nothing to worry about.
Plenty of other cars ive heard do that too.

lol try this.. put your car in N, then simply play with the brakes.. keep pumping very lightly and you will hear that same sound. its the locking mechanism. i thought i was tripping out at first but then i realized..

OBD-2 port wire, for scangauge 2 to read lean burn mode, bhp, ignition timing, mpg etc

Have you checked the braking fluid, It might be low

lol those lights are on because the car is turned to ON, you know right after ACC. car is off. ignore the lights.

depends if you like hypermiling. this thing helps me get 32-33 mpg on the highway by finding the right throttle input and speed to get the highest ignition timing. i also wanted to know my air intake temprature and transmission fluid temp(which doesnt work yet).

This is your shift lock solenoid engaging... 100% normal

wait, i thought the OBD port was in front of the shifter in the sort of pocket up there - you pull off that cover...

Haha yeah I just said that because sometimes low braking fluid can cause clicking noises.
