Need some help and advice

I'm having issues with my 2005 Acura TL some help and advice would be great. I took it 2 autozone and had them plug the OBD in and it read that I have issues with A/F ratio concern, Air leak near HO2s (Heated Oxygen Sensor) Bank 1, Ignition system concern, and Faulty catalytic converter. The guy said all I need is to run a fuel cleaner through the vehicle, if so what kind, but I would like a 2nd opinion on that. Any help would be greatly appreciatied, Thanks.

then try a fuel cleaner first, that seems to be the cheapest solution for now

yeah, I know, I use super premium which is 93 so I'm puzzeled at why I would need a fuel cleaner plus I just gave it a tune up 4 months ago, new coil packs, new spark plugs, I mean what next, mayb the sensors just bad

TBH, i don't think that autozone guy know what he was talking about, i personally don't believe just a bottle of fuel cleaner can solve all the problems he detected.....

try your best to get the codes if you can so we can help u out

all of these issues are tied to 1 thing, the O2 sensor before the catalyst. Go back to autozone and ask them for the OBDII codes and not the description.

As far as a fuel cleaner goes, all 93 octane is not made equal! First off the government has mandated 10% ethanol in our gas which is a nightmare for cars. It causes buildup, rust, etc in our fuel systems.

I use Redline SI-1 Fuel cleaner in all of my cars now because of the ethanol in gas and it helps quite a bit. On my 760 I have to use it after every 2-3 tanks of gas otherwise the fuel system will go crazy!

First, replace the rear O2 sensor bank 1, firewall side.

Quickly found some info online:

p0420 is the kiss of death to a cat. converter. more than likely before you did your plugs and coils, i'll make the assumption that the car was misfiring. misfires kill converters. probably weakened it, then you put all that jazz on, but the damage was already done. need to replace converter and downstream o2. putting snake oil fuel system cleaner in your gas tank for a converter will do nothing but take $15-$20 out of your bank account.
