Help with HID fog conversion

Hey guys...I know you have probably had this question asked a million times, but here it goes again.....I have searched the threads and cant seem to find a D.I.Y. post step by step for the installation of HID fogs. If anyone could help me out it would be great.....Thanks a lot

uhh, well if you have plug and play HID kit it should just be as simple as installing the bulbs, mounting the ballasts, and hooking up the power to the foglight connector. youll probably want to remove the front bumper for this.

nope, if its plug and play you plug the ballasts into the factory foglight harness.

Shit..where are you going for HID kits and installation. I paid ~$80 for DDM slim ballast kit shipped and installed it myself.

OP - If it's plug and play, you really do just plug it in and you're done. The only tricky part is where to mount the ballast.

if you can, try to find a kit that has mounting holes on the ballasts, they provide doubleback tape, but i've had ballasts fall off (even when i cleaned the areas with alcohol), i mounted my ballasts in holes that were already there on the frame (i have a 2000 though)

^ Exactly what I did.
They'll fall off unless you use 3M tape and not what they give you. With 3M and good cleaning where you mount them, they should go nowhere..shit is STICKY!! LOL

VERY easy install.

If the HIDs do not turn on the first time, then the +/- ma be on the wrong side. Just flip the connection around and it will work. Then just use a couple zip ties to hold the connection in place.
