i got some info from phee earlier about short shifter or cutting the shifter for the swap. thanks phee, and im not question you, but since im gonna have the money i might wanna do it right. but if cutting is a good way to go, how much to cut and does any one have any pics of a completed swap. inside and under the hood? ive been looking for while and just cant find them. pictures go a long way. thanks

Cutting the shifter lowers it. You still need a short shift to shorten the throw. About 1" is what you cut. You cut the 1 inch out of the shifter just below the threaded section then weld the threaded section back on.

i saw the pics thanks. im gonna give to my welders at work. can i cut 2in off. is there a close up for where to start the cut.
