Change your belt and water pump @ 105K. Will probably be around $700 @ dealer. The water pump has to come off when the belt is changed so you might as well pay the price for the part since you are already paying the labor.

Don't misinform anyone if you're not sure. The pump does NOT have to come off to change the belt. It's still a good idea to replace the pump when doing to the t-belt svc to save on future labor.

I stand corrected if you think you are sure. I have not done an RL TB/pump service before - basing my statement on other Hondas I have worked on. It would not be a good decision not to change pump when doing TB.

Its not physically required to remove the pump to change the belt. However, once you have the belt removed from the car, its about 15 more minutes of work to swap out the waterpump. This is based on my timing belt replacements on an acura integra(twice), acura legend, and a honda civic. What I also have done for an extra $50 or so, is to replace the belt tensioner. Also very easy once the belt is off.

I asked my dealer about the t-belt service and they said it was $1300. I did it myself for $350 with all OEM parts. It was no harder on the RL then any other honda... Ive done a few civics & accords so it was no big deal at all. Definatly do it at 105k.

105000 miles is when honda says it should be changed. Its not something I would take a chance with since the repairs will likely be into the $3000+ range if the timing belt breaks...

The plugs are a maybe... I pulled the original plugs from my 2003 TL with 175K and the gap was still within specs. The dealer wanted something stupid at the 105K service... like $18.50 per plug. I still have the orginal plugs in the car and no change in gas mileage.
