Signs of overheating??
Over the past few weeks Ive noticed after I turn my car off from time to time the engine fan will continue to run, last night I noticed it ran for a good five minutes after I got out the car. Again this doesnt happen every time, but Im assuming the car might be overheating. Anyone had this issue before? I have a 03 TLS

Common for the cooling fan to run a few minutes- especially as we move into summer weather. If it seems to long- could be coolant temp sensor bad
Have the coolant tested- I know Acura says its good for 105k miles- but......
where I live its going to be 100+ this week so synthetic oil and new coolant are the plan along with reset tire pressure due to massive temp change

Just an update for everyone:
I had noticed the fan running after turning the car off is becoming more common, so to be safe Im gonna get it checked out this week. Anyone else have that issue on theirs?

It means something is not right!!
Another member had similar prob and ran it out of coolant
say goodbye to the motor!
Check the coolant level in the overflow bottle and in the radiator
remove cap ONLY when engine totally cold

I bet you need your coolant changed/refilled. In the summer you should check your coolant level every week as your engine may burn some especially if your have thermblok spacers. Ever since I installed mine I lose a small amount of coolant in the summer month's. No leaks, no overheating and no fan running after I shut the car off though. Also check your oil for water as a warped head or blown head gasket leaking coolant into your crankcase will make your car overheat obviously and destroy your engine fast.

they help keep the IM cool of course and as a result keep the heat the engine creates confined to the block more so than normal. Mani members have expressed the same loss of coolant effect caused after they installed the spacers. Its not a big deal IMO, just gotta keep an eye on the coolant level. I only need to add coolant maybe twice a year(other than drain & fills of course) and when I add some it isn't much at all, probably 4-6 oz.

Fans CAN and WILL run after the car is shut off. That is normal. There are reasons for it doing so. 1, is it does it normally. 2. you may be low on coolant, 3, there is something wrong with your fan switch. Check your coolant level. Are you low? Do you notice the temp gauge higher than normal (cjust slightly under half way is normal) when ideling or driving?
