Tires???

I want to change the tires on my 01 TL but I want to keep the stock 16s. Can anyone reccomend a better handling size of tire that will still fit on the factory rims?

Yokohama AVS ES 100. That's what I'm going to put on when the OEMs are done.

Bridgestone Turanza LS-H; much better than stock and all season rated - I love them.

225/55/16 is the biggest you can fit on it. i have 225/50/16 (slightly smaller sidewall, 225/55 is the correct size) the 225 is a good look on the tl

The Reviews and Ratings at tirerack.com are very helpful. Also, Consumer Reports did a large tire shootout for performance tires in their November issue. The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's came out on top. I put them on my girlfriends car last month, and they are awesome tires!
