essentially i have a blade key (working fine), however, the bottom part is all scratched up, also have a blank, instead of getting the blank recut, can i simply replace the blade to the new holder? in pic below i want to take essentially the key out of the aluminum piece

Looks like you have to punch out the roll pin. I admit I haven't tried it before but it doesn't appear to be held by anything other than a roll pin.
