The perforated part is leather. Rest is fake.

the part that your body touches is leather, the rest is some sort of fake leather

this includes the front of the head rest
the inside of the side bolsters
the perforated section of the seats
the inside of the leg bolsters

Is the underside of the leather parts our bod touches also leather?
I cut out a chunk of the perforated. While the top is as you guys informed, leather, the bottom other side of it (the side that rests against the foam rubber) appears to be different.

Correction out seat are bonded leather..

Ie. thin piece of leather is bonded to another substrate. The backside to my knowledge is not leather. When I took my seats apart it was obvious.

Now I know why leather seats in a real expensive cars are like 7 grand. Some places even grow the cows to make the seats with!

But yea IMHO they only use as much leather as the need to to get away with calling it leather. It was a sad day for me when I found that out about my car. Which applies to hundreds of others.

I would imagine a high end BMW or Benz would be real leather but who knows really.
