2G TL/CL custom LED shift gate indicator Groupbuy SOLD OUT, thanks for looking!

Shown above is with the indicator & blue LED replacement on a '99 TL.
First of all, the chrome plate/gate is NOT included... to clear the confusion and inquiry of a lot of members. The chrome shift gate is only available as a mod for '99 TL owners... long story short... Acura decided for production to paint over the chrome finish with silver paint which is in all other years but since the tranny was changed from '00 and on... the shift plate was revised (to 5-speed) along with it and has no chrome finish underneath the stock silver paint.
I am selling the shift gate indicator replacement only (the black plastic piece with the letters) for $17.5 shipped. This of course includes the indicator itself, handling & Paypal fees, and instructions (the current online DIY will be updated with a bit more details). Now, for those of you that wishes to get the white or blue LED + indicator as a package, I am offering both for $20.0 shipped.The $2.50 extra for the LED is actually cheaper than how much you would pay from autolumination.com or v-leds.com !
And for anyone that wishes to get both LED's, simply add another $2.50 to the package - total of $22.50.
The indicator is offered in both 4-speed and 5-speed flavors. The new and improved version (wow sounds so cliché
) of the indicator is now protected by 2 layers of clear coat as well as matte tape under the letter 'D' to diffuse the light from the LED better - less hotspot and more even brightness among all the letters. It's not a complete fix, but it is certainly better than without it.

IMPORTANT: Specify in the payment (1) your Acurazine username, (2) which -speed (4-speed for '99 TL, and 5-speed for '00-'03 TL/TL-S and '01-'03 CL/CL-S) you have, as well as (3) which color LED to go with. Shipping times vary, as I make these myself at home, and only when a certain amount of orders are acuminated do I start a new batch. I also ship on an honors system - the earlier someone pays, the higher priority he/she will be placed in the next shipment. I will update everyone who has paid when the indicators will be shipped out on this thread.

Ok guys, I am planning on selling the shift gate indicator replacement-only for $15 shipped. This is the first batch special pricing! I understand that some members might be bothered by the slight hot spot on the 'D', or that the letters are only lit unicolor, or because "it is only a piece of plastic" - but it's a time-consuming process to make. If the earlier concerns can be fixed in the future, then surely a 'version 2' of the shift gate indicator will be released - along with a discount for returning members. Until then, what you see in the pictures is what you'll get.
Here is the list of all 2G owners from this thread who are interested in the GB, and wanted a price to give the final decision. It would be great if you could reply to confrim your interest in the purchase and send the payment. My paypal account email is jonathan0208@hotmail.com, please include which option you would like and if it's the package, which color (white / blue) LED to go with, thank you! I'll start making them as soon as about 10 orders are placed and of course notify you once they are shipped out.

to CleanCL, iisylentii, & UNCTYPE-S: that could happen, I will need to look into getting colored tape to act as a filter of the light shining through. I would imagine that it would work only with the white LED and not blue (red & blue light on opposite spectrums). Let me see what I can do for you guys in the next few days... I'll keep posted.
btw I did a quick photoshop job of how it would look, let me know how you like it:
By dash kit do you mean something like a package of replacement LED's for your AC/odometer/etc? I had a thread going about it: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/sale-m5-spoiler-144257/ but the problem is, there is no direct replacement bulbs for the AC temperature display and the cruise/sunroof/TCS buttons. Those require soldering... some members have done it and looks great. With individual LED's relatively easy to purchase and the DIY pretty much available for everybody, I don't see the "need" of gathering a kit together to sell

let me know if you can find tape, i figured thats what you would do, and yes, i think it would only work with white leds, this is fine. but im looking for a much deeper red/green, im sure itll come out better than the photoshop. keep us updated, cause i'd get it.

I did remember one thing though...we have a 5speed auto...the shift gate goes
P, R, N, D5, D4, D3, 2, 1
Did you account for the extra gear? I forgot to ask.

I checked out the site... it looks good. But I think I'll wait for a ballsy day to do it myself in the future I like taking little projects like this myself to learn and such... it's fun!
