Car looks so good but God almighty I wish they would lose the command feature. I have never understood the concept of this feature.

HEY BMW....BUTTONS STILL WORK JUST FINE!!!

I like the interior. The exterior will take some time... especially the rear.

over all not as drastic as the 5, but the inside is a step backwards imo

who are you apologizing to and why? I agree...I think the interior is just bad. I HATE that stupid hump they stuck in the middle of their dashboards. Ruins the lines of the dash. The exterior looks better than the last 3 but still looks pretty weak IMO. This is a disappointment.

I think this is a step ahead as far as the exterior is concerned. It looks good from the outside. The inside, I just dont like the dash design. It's similar to that of the 5. But still, not bad overall. We have to see this car up-close to be able to tell.

It says the 330 will do the 0-62 mph in 6.3 secs. That means 6 flat for the 60 if not high 5s due to BMW usually being conservative. Not bad at all.

Eh, i'll toss that one to the 6 series. Best of the bungle interiors.

The interior for the new 3 isnt bad, compared to the new 5 pos insides. but it isnt GREAT either.

The new 3 is better then I thought, i'll give it that.

Looks okay, but I'm not thrilled. Exterior probably looks the best of the Bangle designs, but I'm definitely not a fan of the interior.

I wasn’t crazy about the 5-Series exterior OR interior.
But when I drove it, it was a different story all together.
Don’t judge on the photos alone.

Ive spent an hour sitting the new five going over it with a fine tooth comb, I have review in car talk somewhere.

As I've been stating the car is a butterface, technically amazing but the interior designs is shit. Drive it or not, the story doesnt change, the interior design is pure shit.

Exterior is ok (the coupe will look better), I just don't like BMWs new interiors though.....and this new 3 is no exception.

What's nice is that I believe i-drive is optional on the e90, not standard.

Yes, I agree with that.......the 5 just looks unfinished.

The e90 while not very driver oriented (can see that from the photos) at least looks a tad pleasant to the eye.

The 5 is unergomnomic, non-driver oriented, stupid place "design" items.

What makes a bimmer interior a bimmer interior, you know, you own one. I had one. the cockpit is driver oriented and VERY functional. not so anymore in the case with the 5.

but i digress this is getting off topic.

I actually drove the 5 series recently (my boss has one - 530i)) and sat in the 6-series at the dealer. I was actually LESS of a fan after sitting inside the cars. The interior is shaped ackwardly and it just feels cold. Hard to explain, but it doesn't feel comforting. I'm definitely not a fan.

OK….. If you’ve seen it in person and you don’t like it I understand.
I’m just used to reading negative comments from magazine & web reading critics who have never set foot in the car.

All the interiors look the same to me. The same town car-ish layout. I hate it. But since it drives like a bmw then im sure i will get over it.

My next car will still be a bimmer.

Yeah if you're 18 and can afford a 50k$ plus car. Other than that it looks pretty overdone and just plain It's probably just a chop anyways so I dont want to get all worked up over nothing but if that's close to the real thing then it has lost it's class IMO.

Sure it’s fake.
But if you look at the OFFICIAL pictures of the E90 4-door in the other thread with the brochure link, you can see a LOT of that car in this mock-up.

I predict it will look much like this with the exception of the front air dam and wheel flares toned down a bit.
If you look the official M5 pictures you can see the family resemblance.

We shall see.

3-Series Is Ready To Join The Fold - - By Matt Joy - - Source: Autoexpress

The lid has been lifted on the next-generation BMW 3-Series Cabriolet - and what a lid it is! Our spies in the current issue of Auto Express magazine have captured the world's first pictures, and the car clearly has a folding metal roof.

Although the current drop-top has been a huge hit - fending off competition from the Audi A4, Mercedes CLK and Saab 9-3 in the premium convertible sector - the mag's exclusive shots show how BMW aims to raise the stakes by being the first to create a coupé-cabrio.

Our insiders tell us that the newcomer is going to be more versatile than anything drivers have ever seen before, and it's all thanks to the forthcoming 3's spacious design. Look carefully at the mag's pictures of the CC, and you should be able to see what we mean. The novel design means the roof can be positioned in three different ways.

Most obviously, with the roof fully closed, the car will be a refined coupé. Owners can then slide the front panels back to create an open-topped targa. Finally, as the bootlid opens up, the whole arrangement slips gracefully down, creating a neat convertible free from any unsightly folded canvas.

The disguise on the prototype also attempts to hide another key feature its pillarless design. This means buyers will have the option of lowering all the side windows with the roof up to give a clean, uncluttered look.
The company has gone to extreme lengths to ensure that its first coupé-cabrio is a success, calling upon Ger-man engineering expert Webasto to assist with the design of the folding mechanism. The pictures clearly show that the car will remain a full four-seater yet retain a substantial boot, as this is a crucial selling point for the lucrative American market.

The engine line-up will be similar to the saloon's, starting with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel four-cylinder units. There will be 2.5 and 3.0-litre straight-six petrols, with the possibility of a V8-powered M3, which would compete head-to-head with the Audi S4 V8.

Despite rumours of BMW introducing new 2 and 4-Series badges for its coupé and cabrio models, the car seen here is likely to retain the famous 3-Series badge. With such an excellent reputation and strong image with consumers, company bosses can see no significant benefit in changing.

The new 3-Series CC will make its public debut at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show - in exactly 12 months' time - and go on sale early in 2006.

Whoa. This coupd/cabrio sounds awesome. Pillarless design; targa option. Benz and Audi will have to step it up. I hope Infiniti will answer the call with a hardtop/convertible competitor of it's own with the next G. If the Z remain's a soft top, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't consider it.

The funny thing is that these directo competitor companies know about what each other works at a lot before we do. How? From talks with vendors. I bet they look at auto news come out and laugh their ass off about how late we find out.
