As far as the parking situation goes, we will be arranging it specifically by models so we will have a nice layout to do shoots from. Non-Acura/Honda makes will have last priority in parking (obviously) but there is still plenty of parking available.

Also, to touch on a few points in this thread about other makes and cars.
This is an Acura event, but we have invited the 8G Accord group and the NSX group. The TSX group is also on the invite list as far as I know. There is nothing wrong with bringing your close friends and family, but we are not going to post this event open to any other forum simply because that defeats the purpose of us meeting the members we want to meet and get to know in person.

Not only that, but please do try to sign up if you are coming because you will receive priority in a number of things if you are on the list including food, activities, and parking.

Another possibility I wanted to get some feedback on. Because initially we wanted some type of motorsport activity and that didn't happen, I still wanted to implement a relative activity during the event. More specifically a mini RC 1-on-1 Grand Prix race. I'm still working on getting it finalized but it would end up being something along initial 20 participants, $10-$15 to race, with a qualifying and first, second and third place rankings. Winner will win a raffle item. So let me know how this sounds and we have enough interest, I will make it a possibility.

I guess they would not be up for a skidpad g-force contest, slalom, or anything of that nature? It would be as easy as setting up cones but I have a feeling the liability part would kill it.

 

The location I had planned for that was taken up that weekend for parking for the tribal leaders. That's why the option of having a motorsport-esque activity that everyone can have the chance to participate in, which would be the RC Race.

haha funny man i still have an rc car in my garage from like 10 years ago all i can remember is it runs on that nitro fuel i put a two speed in it and it has the tuned exhaust maybe i should bust that bad boy out and get it wokring for the event!

Acurafest is for Acura owners. This meet is for Acura owners from and nearby California to get together and hang out. If you don't own an acura then come with a buddy who does. I doubt anyone will give you grief if you're just checking it out. Some meets have restrictions.

Imagine coming to an NSX only meet in something other than an NSX. You may get looked at funny.

You don't need an Acura to come. Some people are coming that don't even own Acuras, but this year I'm not sure. Last year, it was pretty chill. There were other cars there.

I'm trying to clear up information which you lacked the ability to read for yourself about who get's priority. All are welcome yes, never said you weren't, but there are certain criterias that give some others more priority. This event was put up by those who put their time into it and have set these criterias. Respect that or move on.
It's very ignorant how you're taking offense to an event that you put no time into yourself. You joined a community for which you never participated. Had you, you would've known about this months ago. Nonetheless, as stated in that latter, we are getting the world out to folks but keep in mind of the priorities. Not sure what that is? Read the forums, then ask the event organizers. You can get the details straight from them clearly.

I know we said only acurazine members, but membership is free and its super easy to join. Plus if you like Acuras and are interested in attending acurafest, you should have no problem making the extra effort to sign up.

If there are other interested in joing acurafest, then you are more then welcome to become a member. Remember, as stated above, members who sign up before the event gets perks.

 

You're bringing a lot of schit? I MIGHT bring the Cayenne... not positive yet. It would be nice to be the only RL haha If I do find a way to bring both the RL and the Cayenne, i'll do it. If money permits I can also try to borrow/rent a car trailer and slap the RL on there. We'll see as the date gets closer.
