No problem.

It shifted fine before, I think the car is running a bit cooler which will be good when the weather is 115 average and never under 90 in a few weeks.

Ok...gotcha.

So haven't really noticed in difference in the performance of the transmission?

Still shifts as was before the install of the cooler?

Yes but it shifted flawlessly so I did not expect a change.

My main goal was bringing temperatures down in the transmission & the engine, the engine is cooler because the trans fluid that cools in the radiator is cooler.

If nothing else the cooler increases the area the fluid has to flow in as well as giving cooling, The input hose is warmer than the output hose so I know it is making a difference.

Yeah...I was installing it to help smooth the operation of the transmission because heat isn't a concern in San Francisco.

I'm surrounded by three large bodies of water...temperature remains a cool 70 degrees basically all year.

My hope is that it will help keep my transmission's longevity.

Thanks, but that's not my house. That is from when I bought the car, it's the po's house.

This is my house:

^That's before we bought it, the Realtor and her Father are in the picture, he lives across the street.

Rear endlinks are in man was the upper part a #*@! to get out passenger side made me break it!

New ones are much more beefy!

Ran out of time/energy to do the fronts They'll have to wait at least a week as I am out of town tomorrow until at least Sunday.

Are those new rear endlinks OEM?

Why are they so much bigger then original ones?

Also did u only install a throttle body spacer or did you do both intake manifold spacer and throttle body spacer? Did u clean your EGR port while u had your engine apart?

The best I can remember (I searched this) the title was 01 02 03 Acura 3.2 CL SSM lip spoiler.

At the time the seller had them in many colors.

I looked through my feedback looking for the seller and finally found it I hate that they remove the description it was last June.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...Q5fAccessories

That is a TL spoiler they currently have. I am sure if you ask they will make you one for your car. I paid about 50.00.

Good luck.

I have all the thermal gaskets. I cleaned the intake (messy) and the egr (not so bad) when I took it apart.

Wow, awesome mod progress. I hope you dyno that beast soon! Can you give more insight about the "VSA delete and throttle coolant bypass?" What is the purpose, and how were the results?

VSA delete gets an obstruction out of the way (VSA TB) making the 71mm TB able to fully flow especially important for me now that I have an 80mm intake tract.

Coolant bypass gets hot coolant out of the TB (it ran through both the VSA TB & the TB.

The logic there is cooler air in the intake is denser and better for the production of power.

Thanks

The new manifold looks good by itself but I don't like how it looks against the lower engine cover.

Looks out of place.

N13729462837462b, are you kidding?

this IM swap is something you only heard of today and you are complaining the covers don't match? The gains are going to be nuts. Who cares about engine covers!

What can be done though, would be dremeling some of the lower engine cover that sticks up towards the IM, or just remove it entirely.

In the four banger world, engine covers don't hide the valve covers anyways, they are painted. So that could be an idea. I think that would be a nice finishing touch. Just saying you don't always need plastic on your valve cover.

or like I said, get the dremel out and sandpaper.

Cute spelling of my username...

Well I didn't just hear about it today but I forgot about the thread...is all.

I'm paying attention to just about every thread so I can't remember every single one...

Which you wouldn't know because you are a

I was merely stating my opinion that I didn't think it looked right because they don't match up.

haha fair enough, I am new to posting on this forum.

I agree there is a mismatch, which is I suggested how to correct it, but I just think its not worth worrying about when he pioneered a really potent mod and is probably more occupied with getting the kinks out and helping others out.

Actually, i'm curious,is there any explanation to your username? I figured if you were goal was random numbers and letters, you wouldn't have minded my..."paraphrasing"..of it. lol.

Looks really bad like this and I am not taking the rail off because then the cables for the coil packs will be flopping around & touching the valve cover.

P2R pioneered the mod, I am just an early adopter.

Well I don't want to clog up E30's thread with this off-topic stuff.

In short...NF (Initials) 3d0149ab (randomness) AB (Initials for my Music Production Company)

I understand the purpose of this mod is performance.

If there was some way to trim the top of the lower engine cover it would look better.

Might just have to accept it the way it looks because without the cover...that is

Haha so all the random letters were close enough. A dremel and sandpaper could improve the stock lower engine cover.

It would look perfectly fine without the cable rail, i dont think that even if the cables did touch that it would heat them too much. Painted valve covers don't flake off after all.

Not to threadjack, but I have something planned for that

Coming to a forum near you this summer.

PS- What the hell was Honda thinking when they painted our valve covers beige??
