***Nissan 240SX Re-Build*** -Pictures Inside-
Runs pretty good except for a bug I'm working out regarding the thermostat. I bought a new one and replaced the old one, then I had to "burp" the coolant system. The KA seems to be a little bit tougher than normal to remove excess air from the coolant system, but so far it seems to be doing ok. My trouble was that while the car idled, the engine temperature gauge registered at normal, but once you took it down the road a mile or so, the gauge would gradually decrease until it rested on the bottom notch right at "C". maybe since there is no front end it the cooling effect from the wind is that much more dramatic? I'm starting to wonder if my temperature gauge is malfunctioning. It hasn't overheated, so I'm thankful for that.
Thanks. There is no rust except for a dime size spot under the hatch which is just surface rust. The car is actually very straight and I'm hoping to get it painted very soon. I'm also considering going ahead and purchasing a Silvia front end conversion along with some 180sx tails, I've always liked the Sil-Eighty look.
It seems to be a common problem with TLs that have seen heavy duty sun ie; Florida, Arizona, etc.
The paint only appears lioke that from sertain angles under direct sunlight, the front end looks the same from certain angles as well. I here that WDP has this problem as well as AM.
For all of the compliments, thank you! I'm really stoked about this car and have alot in store for it later down the road.
