Guys, I was so looking forward to this meet and getting my 05 TL ready for this as well BUT I dont think I will be joining, going back to home country to get married!!

 

Props to Mr. Bell for once again putting this together. Looking forward to it fellas! Digital, let's try to recruit some others or at least roll out together if possible. I'm leaving on that Friday & coming back on Monday

I will know for sure by the beginning of May. Im planning on heading out to CA for my fathers 60th b-day the last week of May, so I have to see if I can afford it.

Maybe make a crazy road trip out of it???

 

I should be able to make it to this as long as the dates are open for me.

 

Just thinking out loud because Im bored, but if I were to drive from here to Bakersfield, then to KC for the meet, then home, its about 5,400 miles. Or about 16 tanks of gas @ about $1,000, not including tolls, hotels, or food....

If I were to just drive from here to the meet, its ~2300 miles round trip, ~7 tanks of gas, at about $500, not including tolls, hotels or food.....

The cheapest airfare Ive found (for my May CA trip) is $410, not including taxes. If I were to split the trips up, I could work the week in between, otherwise Id be taking 2.5 weeks off in total.

 

Would love to make it but just to long of a drive for me....

whatever is financial and personally good for you, go for it !!! honestly this year it is something like last year there was something that came up and it will be the same next year....so i would suggest make the trip !!!

 

If you make it to Bakersfield, you can draft off of me the whole way to the meet, lowering gas costs.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to try and drive straight through or get a hotel. Avoiding even a cheap hotel would be like a free 400-500 miles.

I live in North Central Kansas. So this is about a 3 hour drive for me.

The wife and I are very active on www.ElementOwnersClub.com site. (I'm a moderator.) We have really enjoyed the National meets with all the Element owners. I will talk to her about this meet. I think it would be great to meet some Acura owners.

I just got my first Acura last September and LOVE IT. She's a 1999 TL. She has a few minor blemishes but was well cared for mechanically.

Is there any fees/monies I need to plan for other than the price of the Hotel?

P.S. I'll see if the wife wants to bring her Element since Hondas are welcome too. I sold my Element but you can see pictures of it if you google "Kicker Element" (it was Kicker's SEMA car) or visit my Cardomain page by clicking ---> Kicker Element <--- I miss that Element sometimes.

So tempted... already got the days off approved just in case. Im 1260 Miles away in NYC. Gonna need a few stops along the 21 hr route... Im trying to get Gerzand (ohio) go so i can take a break at the 9hr mark.

For the ones driving from a long distance, I would budget $6 a gallon so that you make sure you include enough for gas, food and lodging.

Gas prices are rising fast here in DFW. Premium is already over 4 a gallon at the pumps next to the interstates. It is a little cheaper away from the interstates but not that much. They say gas will be near 5 a gallon for premium in April!!

Not sure how high it is getting in the North out out towards Cali.

 

I just paid $4.40 a gallon here. Luckily I can stretch a tank out for a month.
